I think Garret's philosophy is to set up the run with the pass which means we'll be throwing the ball the majority of the time in the first half. In the second half, we'll do more running than passing with a lead.
The reason why this is weird is because unlike a West Coast offense, Garrett's offense does not focus on short, high percentage throws. Thankfully, he has a very good QB that can pull this off most of the time. I think Garrett knows that too, so he goes with it.
I'm fine with that philosophy. It's been working so far.
The thing that worries me is that the best way to beat this team is to take away the PASS not the run. If you frustrate this passing game and force us to nickel and dime our way down the field, you'll see us turn the ball over and commit stupid penalties. We have a tendency to implode, so thank God for the homerun ball.
