He was the epitome of a yes man, so he really has no idea what kind of coach can thrive here. It will be a guy who won't kiss jerry's behind and will garner respect and accountability.
And He will promptly be fired for it.

Well “Coach Milquetoast” would know. That guy makes vanilla ice cream look exciting.
LOL...I wasn't on this board for the Garrett years. But there seems to be no love lost for him on this board.

I'll say...I understood why he had to go, but...MM did kinda win with some of his players and the system he put in place for the most part. Now that said, Garrett was a gameday liability...and he also seemed to be outschemed all the time.

Icing his own kicker is probably the prime example of him being a gameday liability. That said, his players usually fought hard for him but he was certainly a liability. McCarthy's players fought hard for him too, yet he was a liability as well.

We aren't going to get a really good coach here. Even if we did, we'd get one that was either tired and out of new ideas (because of age), or one so hamstrung by Jerry's undermining discipline and authority that it wouldn't matter. Most likely we'll get a retread coach or someone not even ready for the position. (like Moore and Garrett, both promoted too early into their positions)

Jerry: Before we get you signed to this contract, you will need to submit to castration and this anal plug with the ball/chain attachment.

Dave/Wade/Garrett/McCarthy: Say no more.

Most coaches are not building a brand to score advertisement gigs and promotional funds. Deion makes some sense because of those reasons. The rest of the candidates that want the gig are desperate to coach in the NFL again and get another big payday OR are completely unqualified to get the position and are excited to have the money and prestige that comes with the job.

No coach would want to come here to build their football legacy-like the best head coaches desire.
