Garrett > Payton

Its funny. When things go bad its Garretts fault. When things go good, its his assistant coaches. Like no other coach in the league has assistant coaches or a coaching staff. Like Bellicheat doesn't have a staff lol.

Friend, I've given enough reasons to convince the man who wants to be convinced. I think I will have to leave the convincing to you.

I must have missed those, even after going back several pages and looking.

But the convincing is never up to me, it will be up to Garrett to convince those that don't think he is a good head coach.

And that will be tough to do since Jerry has stripped so much of the coaching responsibilities from him.

But don't worry about me, if we play the way we did last night I will be happy and proud, .. win or lose.

:) ok, have a good one

This one post made my day, and gives me hope for Cowboys fan humanity. And I'm not kidding. Thanks Dupree! Objectivity... refreshing.

No problem! I am only speaking for myself here....but I think it would be a little disingenuous of me to blame Garrett when the team looks totally unprepared and then when they look great give all the credit to the asst. coaches and players. That's not fair. Again, just how I personally feel.

Seems pretty simple to me too. But eh, who understands logic these days ;)

I think Garrett understands how to build a great offense. I really don't know about the defensive side though. He has done very well drafting players on offense and knows whether or not a player can play. I think he could be a great head coach. On the other hand, he needs to keep doing what he's doing and let someone else call the plays.

It's not ingenious. It's been eight plus years with him making the same mistakes over and over again. This is the year his hands have totally been taken away from the offense and the scheme is totally different. We run motion, play action, bootlegs with Romo....

That's the argument right there... I've been saying it for ages. His play-calling set us back point blank. Now, when the team is finally doing that, people forget the team is doing exactly what the anti-Garrett crowd has been hammering about, his play-calling.

What have you proved other than saying that the play-calling makes them that much better and even Romo is saying it?

I was saying before the season started we were going to make the play-offs even with Garrett as the coach, precisely because of these changes.

I said I was totally optimistic about this offense. My only concern was the health of Romo, considering his back.

I still don't trust this team or him so I won't give them any credit other than we played an amazing game yesterday.

Keep winning and i'll eventually come around.

You at least might come around. That I get.
