The kicker stinks! If we had a job where we had success 50 % of the time we'd be fired. Problem is we never want to pay a kicker his worth. Jones, who makes these decisions, is the reason. Another disappointing season

Long overdue but hardly the main problem.

I dont think maher is that bad , and they did not lose because of him today.
Buffalo kicker also missed a kick and extra point, saw atlanta kicker miss a short one.

On the one he missed today, even the announcers know he does not do well from the left hash!!
so duh why not make sure you set him up on the right, and dont expect anything over 45 yds, those are all iffy.
and hey he is cheap, and you get what you pay for.
I think for what they pay him , he has done pretty good.
Also it is insane to think they can find someone better during the season lol pure insanity.

any of you think some guys who arent even kicking in nfl right now can do better?? there is a reason they are not on a team.

It's not a "start". It's a desperate act from an incompetent coach. Brett Maher didn't lose this game. He wasn't even the worst kicker on the field today, as hard as it is to believe.

The Cowboys lost because Garrett was outfoxed, and his players wilted in the second half. That's on him, not Maher.

Yes, Maher greatly contributed to the loss. We all saw it. Amazing how you refuse to see that. Maher has greatly contributed to at least 3 of our current 6 losses, and he's missed at least 1 FG attempt in each of the past 7 games. Maher should have been replaced last year when he was missing as many FGs then. It was clear to see this guy is not an accurate kicker and how it was going to affect the team in the future. So, yes, you can blame Garrett for not replacing Maher much sooner, but Maher sucks and definitely is a big contributor to this team's woes.
