I hope those are the actual factuals. But the true test of any intellectual debate is whether the facts will be accepted or rejected when presented. If not then the discussion is null and void.[/quote]
Romo doesn't throw a better anything than Aikman.
i think he throws better on the move.
But yes, Aikman was crazy accurate

You must be a young fan.......just being a Dallas Cowboy causes that to happen...no reasons necessary

not to the extent of romo. he's seen as more of a joke than any player in franchise history. not all his fault but he creates a lot of it by is ill-timed turnovers. i'm so over it ron, time to move on and get a fresh face at the top.

Since you have seemed to be anti-romo for forever, even before back surgeries or any of that, I want you to answer a question. What's a bigger joke when we were going 5-11 in the 2000's basically a bottom feeding team, or at least having something to play for EVERY SINGLE YEAR ROMO HAS PLAYED. He has not had a single year as a starter that week 17 didn't mean something or either we were already locked into the playoffs by that time. The biggest joke in franchise history is you Zordon. Well either you or your best friend ufcrules I haven't quite decided yet.

He is better at buying time, that is about it. Troy had the stronger arm, was more accurate, and was smarter.

the romo haters are really kind of funny in a pathetic way. They are so truly clueless to the real world. In their fantasy land football is a one man game.

well being wrong on only one out of three is not bad for you. Better then just about anything else you have ever posted.

save the personal attacks, lets keep it football. the 5-11 teams were embarrassing but they lacked talent. nothing is more shameful than losing 3 straight 'win or go home' games to your three divisional rivals....Giants, Commanders, Eagles all laughing at us. like you said, they've been in a position 3 straight years to silence all the critics, stop all the jokes, it was all in their hands. what did they do? they gave the haters more and more ammunition to make us the joke of the league. it sucks to see a warrior like dez get sucked into this loser environment. time to flush this turd down the toilet and start over. get rid of romo, witten, spencer and everybody else from the old failed core and start fresh everywhere. hopefully then we get a high draft pick and start a new chapter with a young charismatic qb.

This just in:
1. Romo is a very young player.
2. Romo only had a cyst removed last year.
3. Romo has more zip on the ball than ever.
4. The movie 2012 was real and we're all living under the sea in giant subs.

Pat Summerall who saw a few NFL QB'S in his lifetime said Troy was the most accurate passer he ever saw.

Tony is not the QB Troy was & that's not bashing. Few are.

Yeah and I placed blame on him as well but you act as if that was the only game. Get real Romo has put this team is position many times to win. So hang on to that one fricken game you got

It is not the only big game that Romo has blown. His record against teams with winning records is not very good. I will give him credit. He has produced some late game comebacks against bad teams. I will really be happy when Romo retires and the team can move on.

There are many things that you can say about Tony Romo, good and bad. I think we should all be able to agree - he is not "very young."

1) Tony Romo would have to be the second oldest quarterback to win his first Super Bowl. Only John Elway was older.

2) The Super Bowl victory window for normal quarterbacks really ends at 34. After that, the guys that have won include John Elway, Roger Staubach, John Unitas and the outlier Jim Plunkett..

3) Listening to the press conference yesterday, what you as Cowboys fans realistically are looking at is four or five years of declining Romo, followed by two or three years of a young quarterback getting up to speed. That assumes that you find the right young guy on the first try. By that time, all of our good young stars (Dez, Lee, etc.) are going to be in their early 30s.

Realistically, if we don't make it this year, I could see the Cowboys out of playoffs for the next 7 or 8 years, maybe more.
I could see a new HC coming in and getting Romo to the SB, sorta like Shanahan did for Elway. The right combination of drafting and a little luck.

Seriously, Tony may be the best QB at feeling pressure I've seen, with the possible exception of Tarkington. He can throw on the move as well as anybody. After that, Troy leaves him in the dust. Tony's velocity and accuracy in the pocket were fair at best and are fading fast.

If not being mathematically eliminated by week 17 is your idea of a job well done then I understand your enthusiasm to maintain the status quo.

Some of us have higher standards, like winning records and playoff births.

Shocking, I know.

"JOKE OF THE LEAGUE" So being in position to go the playoffs 3 years in a row, which by definition means you were competing, makes you the joke of the league? Let's not deal in extremes here. Because im damn sure the Jags, Raiders, Bills, Commanders, Rams, Buccanners and PLENTY of other teams would have loved to be 8-8 and have at least been competing. And before you cue in the "we are the cowboys our history is greater than that defense" that is irrelevant. The fact is you're exaggerating and we have been nowhere near the joke of the league. And the fact that you even had the nerve to put the Commanders in that conversation when they have sucked EVERY YEAR except the 1 they beat us in is comical. Sounds like you're reaching for straws to further your agenda. I disagree that this is a loser environment, and because of the salary cap flushing half your team doesn't work anywhere but in Madden but whatever floats your boat bro. Hopefully that young charismatic qb doesn't have to deal with a defense even close to what Romo did or imma feel sorry for him too.

The ultimate goal of every team is to win the superbowl correct? To win the superbowl you have to make the playoffs correct? In order to make the playoffs you cannot be mathematically eliminated by week 17 correct? Shocking i had to explain that to you.:(

Super Bowl?

This team has made the playoffs exactly one time since 2007. You need to actually be in the playoffs to reach the Super Bowl, bruh.

You're skipping steps here. Go in order. In order to reach the playoffs when week 17 comes you better either have a spot locked up already, or be fighting for a spot that game. Half of the league reaches week 17 and their season is already over at that point. The game means nothing. So if you have these high expectations or whatever they have to not be eliminated before week 17. I.E. a lot of those 2000 teams.
