I don't think this scenario is likely at all. And it's not just because it's scary.

Why? Jerry is all about continuity now. Unless he fires Wade, I think this is what we're stuck with.

Too late for continuity at this stage. Both OC and DC gone. STs coach already replaced.

If Wade was going to be gone he already would be. You don't fire your coordinators and then fire your head coach. You fire your coach and then bring in a new head coach and let him decide who he wants to keep and who he wants to get rid of.

Well, that's what a good GM would do. Jerry, on the other hand..

Me, I'm on the Gruden bandwagon now. Gruden is an outstanding coach plus, he isn't particularly interested in GM stuff - that will be very attractive to Jerry

What's it going to be then, eh?

All you people happy about this, are you ready for a coaching staff of..

HC: Wade Phillips
OC: Ray Sherman
DC: Dave Campo
GM: Jerry Jones

I feel like throwing up..

That is not funny at all. But likely in a very tragic sense.

Wade is going to pick his own OC, just as he hand-picked his own special teams coach, who is well-known in the league. Wade didn't pick Garrett and Wade wants somebody committed to the run.

Here we go again. Another offseason where the whole coaching staff turns over. Other teams seem to maintain continuity but the Cowboys can't. Whether you like Garrett or not, his departure is not good news IMO.

Understood. But why, then, did Wade fire his defensive coordinator who was dubbed his right-hand man -- and a guy that Wade endorsed just a few weeks ago, nonetheless?

I seem to remember everyone being sick about Sean Payton leaving, too (myself included). Next thing you know he's in the NFC Championship. Haven't heard much of a peep from him since. JG may do extremely well with the Rams, but it's not like we just lost Jimmy Johnson, people.

Because Brian Stewart blew it so big, that wade had no choice. Jerry told him that he was gone no matter what. Like I said, wade did not want Stewart as his DC originally, but the Chargers LB coach, whom San Diego would let go of the contract. Maybe Wade took Stewart because he was a good position coach and ultimately knew his system. Plus, it was late in the game for Wade to get somebody he really wanted.
