To get this money back it means keeping him until the end of the suspension.

The only other option I can think of is that he's decided not to attend camp. If that is the case, he's basically calling it a career. Of course, if he officially retires, he's gotta give all his bonus back. I expect we'll work out something with his agent so that he gets the 250k or so that he'd get if we cut him after the suspension and he officially retires. That's like the best case for us as it free up his spot on the 90 man roster.

We drafted the guy knowing he had some mental health issues. We need to provide him with opportunities to get better even if he doesn't play for us. That's just being a good employer.
