That may be true but you gambled on him and it's only been one year. You have got to go a little further and see what happens when he completes rehab. If he doesn't come out clean and stay that way, then it's time to move on.

Again, you are just justifying your lack of compassion and a clear ignorance to the real problems that people with mental health issues face. That sort of attitude is incredibly harmful as it creates a major stigma around mental health issues that prevents people from seeking help.
