You need to RUN the ball....you need to run it successfully.

I hope you have been working with the o-line and your play-calling for this.

Felix is the one that could break this game open. Sorry, not impressed by a "hard two-yard run" by Marion "Bounce" Barber.

Last week, you had a couple of great drives going...they were over 7 minutes long and your "situational play-calling" deficiency showed up.....but they were great drives.

You need to keep their offense off the field.....the defense has showed time and time again that they can't stop a 3rd and long if the season depended upon it....and it does.

Wear down their small defense and you CAN pull away in the 4th qtr.....

The Saints have shown that they are vulnerable.....can you man up like some of the other teams have? The Skins should have beaten them if not for a kicker that couldn't kick a short FG with around two-minutes in the game. We beat that Skins team, even though they are playing tough recently.

It's way past time you quit calling plays according to what they defenses "give" us, and start coming out and putting THEM on thier heels....HIT THEM IN THE MOUTH!

Memo to Wade now.....

Get your act in gear....get out of there on 3rd and long....this can be a signature moment for you....this is a time of year where "your" defense should be clicking....running on all cylinders....yet you are allowing 3rd and long to be routine for opposing defenses.

It's way past time that you come up with something that confuses the opposition....

If the O-line hasn't learned how to block by week 13 I don't think they'll improve for week 14. Unfortunately, I think the line will be what dooms the cowboys this game.

After reading the title I hoped the thread would have said something about going to Burundi to teach basket weaving. My bad though.

I honestly think Garrett would rather lose doing things his way than win taking others advice. He's selfish and stubborn and tomorrow I expect him to do what hasn't worked all year, again.

You could have saved alot of typing by simply typing this.

He should consult with Randy Galloway. I don't think JG has used his playbook this season.

I have a feeling that Ginger's Tecmo Bowl playbook has been attached to his hip all week.

Garrett is going to get so outcoached tonight by Payton, it is not even going to be close.

Is Garrett gonna coach our defense? Or is Payton gonna take Gregg Williams job as DC?

"Our objective is when we break the huddle they have to defend the run, they have to defend the pass, they have to defend us short, they have to defend us long,'' Garrett said. "You just want to be a team that is capable of attacking defenses a lot of different ways.

"At the same time, you need to have an identity. An identity is important. You don't want to be all things to all people. But you want to be good at a lot of different things.''

"Hopefully we're a team that plays with great tempo and urgency and we're physical,'' Garrett said. "We can make little plays and big plays and there's an aggressiveness and attacking style to our team, both in the run game and the pass game.''

---

To boil it down graph by graph, Garrett says:
- You can't gang up on any one phase of our offense. We are WIDE RANGING.
- But we have an identity. We are FOCUSED. (Hm, seems to contradict the first graph ...)
- We are feisty and GET AFTER YOU.

How about maybe adding:
- We concentrate on taking advantage of a defensive weakness, and pound it until you prove otherwise. The element of surprise also, maybe?

Anyone have the idea that Garrett is too much big-picture? ... Like a general who has to teach military strategy at West Point because he isn't really good on the battlefield.

That might be the single best analogy I've heard, regarding Garrett

oh God another run run run thread

yes we will have to be able to run tonight but in the end, we will win or lose by how we defend their offence and how we pass

I have an astute suggestion concerning what Garrett should do: Don't listen to the fans on this board!

Exactly.. Theory over reality...

As far as what he can do, he can retire...

We need to pass when they think run, run when they think pass, try a trick play at some point, etc to keep them off-balance. How long have I waited for Crayton to reverse and throw downfield? How long have I waited for Romo to bootleg it? When was the last time F. Jones was flanked out? When was the last time we threw deep to anyone? When was the last time we blitzed 6? When was the last time we scored a TD on our opening drive? Last year we started a lot of games fast - this year none! Wassup???

I have nothing to add to this thread and neither does Jason Garrett...
