I hate OJT...go learn somewhere else....this is the COWBOYS...we should be able to hire the best. Yes, this is a JJ downfall.

On the Job Training shouldn't be done at the NFL level in my opinion....that's where the lowly teams in the NFL and college teams come in to play. :)

If Garrett wasn't doing squat I would agree to a point, but I do see some things that are encouraging.OJT is here to stay in the league,it's all about finding the next wonderboy.

Really. I mean let's take the highest profile football team in America and let's insert a novice.

Could you imagine if the Yankees pulled this crap in NY??? I realize it doesn't quite translate but I'm sure some serious baseball enthusiast's might get the point and could break it down. They should have made Garrett a qb coach here 1st for a few years. This is Jerry's baby.....

I think the mentality of the league has changed to the point that they are willing to put a potential "wonderboy" on the fast track than to let him watch and develop.Everybody seems to be willing to take the risk and catch lightning in a bottle.

yes we will have to be able to run tonight but in the end, we will win or lose by how we defend their offence...

This much is spot on. We can run all night long, but if we can't defend the pass - it's over.

I agree with the OP that we need to keep their offense off the field as much as possible, but in the end...it's going to boil down to our secondary. Yes we need pressure on Brees.....but.....it is more than that. Our CB's need to get up on their WR's and no more of this ten yard cushion and the entire secondary needs to play beyond 100% if we have a chance.

What's the point of keeping their offense off the field if they can drive down and score in 90 seconds? We need points, and lots of them. I trust our defense to keep them under 30, if we can get 35 I think we win this game.

Their top 2 cb's are out, it's time for Romo to shine. Throw the ball all night. Let Sharper try to catch Austin and Roy on slants, send Witten down the seam.

It also wouldn't hurt if the front seven can get in Brees face.Take advantage of his lack of ideal height. If he can't see where he's throwing that will help and you might deflect a few balls at the line.

Jerry is emphasizing TOs by our defense on the NFL network. He says it is the key to the game.
