We're slowly but surely starting to put the division rivals away. At 6-4, the Commanders are almost certainly on the outside looking in, even in the NFC. If we beat the Giants, pretty sure that will clinch the division.
This defense is definitely cause for concern, though. They just don't have that edge to them. Very solid unit, but against teams that can put up points... We can't rely on Anthony Brown out there, at least not yet. Hopefully, we get some secondary help soon.
This offense is really rolling and I don't think they've even scratched the surface yet. The passing game still needs to open up. Teams are really beginning to key in on the run. I felt the Cowboys used Elliott more appropriately in this game, but the opportunities weren't there as much because teams now feel like they need to first stop Elliott. The fact that they still can't stop him, is the reason this offense continues on all cylinders.
Beasley is slowly inching his way towards a 1000 yard receiving season. He'll need a really good game and an uptick in his targets, but it's definitely possible. Very happy for the guy. He's played great this year.
Bailey continues to be automagic. We don't talk a lot about kickers going into the HoF, but clearly, Bailey will deserve it. I actually think we have quite a few HoF caliber players on the team right now:
Elliott (if he can continue as is)
Witten
Smith
Martin
Frederick
Bailey
It's unfortunate that you can't really put Dez in that category anymore. He's still a great player, but he needs to really put things together consistently again.
