We're slowly but surely starting to put the division rivals away. At 6-4, the Commanders are almost certainly on the outside looking in, even in the NFC. If we beat the Giants, pretty sure that will clinch the division.

This defense is definitely cause for concern, though. They just don't have that edge to them. Very solid unit, but against teams that can put up points... We can't rely on Anthony Brown out there, at least not yet. Hopefully, we get some secondary help soon.

This offense is really rolling and I don't think they've even scratched the surface yet. The passing game still needs to open up. Teams are really beginning to key in on the run. I felt the Cowboys used Elliott more appropriately in this game, but the opportunities weren't there as much because teams now feel like they need to first stop Elliott. The fact that they still can't stop him, is the reason this offense continues on all cylinders.

Beasley is slowly inching his way towards a 1000 yard receiving season. He'll need a really good game and an uptick in his targets, but it's definitely possible. Very happy for the guy. He's played great this year.

Bailey continues to be automagic. We don't talk a lot about kickers going into the HoF, but clearly, Bailey will deserve it. I actually think we have quite a few HoF caliber players on the team right now:

Elliott (if he can continue as is)
Witten
Smith
Martin
Frederick
Bailey

It's unfortunate that you can't really put Dez in that category anymore. He's still a great player, but he needs to really put things together consistently again.

I posted in another thread. That if we win the next 2 games, I believe we will clinch the divison, by virtue at worse case of ending tied with NY, we win by having one more conference win than NY.

10-1 is 10-1 but I have a serious problem with how they are using Zeke Elliott. What we're seeing here is the feminine sissy mentality at work here. He doesn't get a chance to be Emmitt Smith and wear out defenses because we're busy "saving" him with bums like Morris and, for the love of God, Lance Dunbar.

He finished with 20 carries but a few of those we're at the very end. For 58 minutes of the game the man had 17 or so rushes. It's unacceptable. Lance Dunbar getting the 3rd down touches is flat out unacceptable. There isn't anything he does that Zeke doesn't do infinitely better. This is a special player who will wear down defenses in the 2nd half and particularly the 4th quarter but we're too afraid to maximize that talent.

I'd fire everyone involved in that decision. Raise your hand if you think it's a good move. You're out. Pack your crap up and hit the road. If we find your stones we'll mail them to you.

This could end up ending our season prematurely and it's really giving me the old forearm twitch just thinking about it.

I'm hoping the crazy happens in the offseason and Peterson decides to play out his final years behind this line. Now that's the way to spell Zeke.

As far as this year, I'm not loving the Dunbar downs almost universally.

You have to give the Commander offense some credit, it's playing at a very, very high level at this point.

I don't want to see this team in the playoffs. The games are toss ups. They can beat us.

As it stands right now, I see 3 NFC East teams getting in.

People complain that we use him too much ... others complain we use him to little. Geez ...

I do get Alfred Morris' carries, but I don't get Dunbar's. Zeke's a better blocker and receiver and Dunbar isn't exactly saving Zeke as much as they are using him as a change of pace back.

Zeke's the best rusher, receiver and blocker of the group. By a mile. He's also the best skill position player and arguably the best player on the entire roster.

Let's spell him for Lance Dunbar on 3rd downs.

The most critical down in football. Let's swap Emmitt Smith for Sherman Williams. Cause he could get huwt and stuff.

I have zero doubt that game looks different if we ride the horse.

Would the win column be any different?

Small minded. It's about what figures to bring about the most future success.

You want Lance Dunbar on the field at the expense of Zeke Elliott? Then you know nothing about the game.

I am with you Risen Star. I don't remember the Cowboys of the nineties taking out Smith for complete sets of downs. Zeke says he feels great. Turn the beast loose. Any other back the Cowboys sub for him don't have the home run threat that he does. Go Cowboys

It does not get me worked up like it does you. I only care about the win I do not care how the sausage is made. I understand your point but have it lower on my list of issues.
