Zeke is averaging as many carries as Emmitt ever did.

You gotta throw the ball to Dez, it is not Dez that is lacking here. He had Norman beat so bad one time and Dak threw it the other way.

It does not get me worked up like it does you. I only care about the win I do not care how the sausage is made. I understand your point but have it lower on my list of issues.

What can I say? I'm big picture. When it costs us a game you can catch up with me and we can talk about it.

Emmitt Smith under this same coaching staff would not be the Emmitt Smith we all knew. He'd be a watered down, protected shadow of his actual self.

Dak has the vision of a legally blind elderly man with severe cataracts.

We're slowly but surely starting to put the division rivals away. At 6-4, the Commanders are almost certainly on the outside looking in, even in the NFC. If we beat the Giants, pretty sure that will clinch the division.

We win three more games, the division is ours. I see at least two in Detroit and Tampa. We should take care of the Vikings. We can win this division without beating the Giants and Philly again.

This defense is definitely cause for concern, though. They just don't have that edge to them. Very solid unit, but against teams that can put up points... We can't rely on Anthony Brown out there, at least not yet. Hopefully, we get some secondary help soon.

Why can't we rely on Brown? He has been doing well. He just made a mistake. He's a solid corner who will only get better. And the defense does have an edge to it. It's a scrappy unit that we knew wasn't great to begin with. But they're doing just enough to keep us in games. That's the best we can expect, especially with two of our best players on suspension.

This offense is really rolling and I don't think they've even scratched the surface yet. The passing game still needs to open up. Teams are really beginning to key in on the run. I felt the Cowboys used Elliott more appropriately in this game, but the opportunities weren't there as much because teams now feel like they need to first stop Elliott. The fact that they still can't stop him, is the reason this offense continues on all cylinders.

Open up how? We're winning with a balanced running and passing attack. We don't need to pass just to pass.

Bailey continues to be automagic. We don't talk a lot about kickers going into the HoF, but clearly, Bailey will deserve it. I actually think we have quite a few HoF caliber players on the team right now:

It's very hard for kickers to get into the HoF. I doubt Bailey makes it unless he wins a Super Bowl with a kick or two.

10-1 is 10-1 but I have a serious problem with how they are using Zeke Elliott. What we're seeing here is the feminine sissy mentality at work here. He doesn't get a chance to be Emmitt Smith and wear out defenses because we're busy "saving" him with bums like Morris and, for the love of God, Lance Dunbar.

He finished with 20 carries but a few of those we're at the very end. For 58 minutes of the game the man had 17 or so rushes. It's unacceptable. Lance Dunbar getting the 3rd down touches is flat out unacceptable. There isn't anything he does that Zeke doesn't do infinitely better. This is a special player who will wear down defenses in the 2nd half and particularly the 4th quarter but we're too afraid to maximize that talent.

I'd fire everyone involved in that decision. Raise your hand if you think it's a good move. You're out. Pack your crap up and hit the road. If we find your stones we'll mail them to you.

This could end up ending our season prematurely and it's really giving me the old forearm twitch just thinking about it.

I'm a little bit torn on this issue. I would love to see Zeke get the rookie record. I also think there is a huge drop off between him and Morris who seems to suck.

I don't like the series deal. It would be better to give Zeke a rest here and there based on down and distance if they want to protect him. They aren't really saving him either by running him between the tackles on predictable running downs either.

On the other hand, if Zeke gets hurt I think you can say good bye to advancing very far into the playoffs. So that has to be considered.

the lack of a pass rush is very disconcerting. It would also be nice to generate some turnovers.

We have the top rated offensive unit in the league. What else do you want?

I agree with everything you said about the Zeke situation.

Sensationalize much? Morris had one carry and Dunbar had a single catch. Let's not act like they have Zeke on some type of pitch count because they had the nerve to let the other RBs touch the ball a combined two times over the course of 54 offensive plays.

yeah there probably are some throws that should be thrown Dez's way that are not, but sorry I find this to be a strength more than a fault of Dak. He is throwing to the open man regardless of who it is and that is why this team is winning, not by forcing the ball to one guy.

is it really necessary to go out of your way to show your dislike for a player? I mean atleast a lot of fans who tilt away from Dak in favor of Romo do so while acknowledging that Dak is the future and needs more time. You here, not sure where you get this opinion other than maybe you got your butthurt on a bet that maybe he wouldn't make it or something. He has outplayed every rookie there ever was in this game, heck even Romo acknowledged Dak is THE GUY and acknowledges this is very well his last year with the team. But you, you know more? ok, doesn't make sense, but you are entitled to an opinion from a fan.

It all depends on the play, the reads, the protection and need to try to dictate to the defense. It is a balance but you can't fault Dez for not getting the ball thrown to him when he is doing his job.

Quick Thoughts:

Watching a close Cowboys-Commanders Thanksgiving game after eating nine and a half pounds of food makes me nauseous.

Receivers get open and don't get the ball every game (Try watching the All-22). A huge part of a receivers job is to know where he is likely to be in the progression and try to get open in that very small window of time.

Beasley said last year that he can get open on any play but getting open at the right time is the difficult task. He said is it a wasted effort to be open at the wrong time.

Also, if a WR gets open by running the wrong route, the QB is unlikely to get the ball to him.
