GB vs 9'ers. Running game matters

I didn't realize running-backs were allowed to run for more than 3 yards. Hopefully the next coach can fix that in 25 after the lame duck throw away year in 24.

Both these teams are built to win. Can you imagine if the Cowboys had a running game as good as either one of these teams? GB made it strictly on their running game. Their defense didn’t come together until late in the year. They beat Dallas with their running game.

But you also have to be able to stop the run. MM must focus on the big 3:

1. Get a running game
2. Stop the oppositions running game
3. Hire a bad *** Defensive Coordinator.

For all you that say a running game doesn’t matter and it’s all on the QB,

If they pay Brock Purdy that amount, darn right his team will have to go cheap at other positions

game changers at QB are rare and few but if you pay a game manager like a game changer, you'll be stuck in limbo

They are gonna have to pay him a pretty big contract. Its gonna be interesting to see how good they will be after they do. I wonder if he holds out after next year if they don't offer him a big contract? Doubtful but he was in the MVP convo and put up good stats and had a good year. He is getting paid peanuts right now. I can see him being paid top 10 money. Maybe even top 5.

When did he have a run game in a crucial game? In or outside playoffs? Vs the rams zeke had less than 3 ypc iirc. In playoffs. Both niners losses 3 ypc….green bay? Couldnt see grass in our run game. Every game our offense poops the bed we have zero run game.

I actually think we could win w/ Dak, but only if he plays for 25-30 mil/season, and only if Jerry got some help in putting this team together. The Sam Williams/Kelvin Joseph/Schooner picks are huge reasons why we lost to GB. It's not who we took, it's who we didn't take. Was there really not one starting LB type in the 2nd round in the last 5 or 6 drafts?

What's funny is that one reason we dropped Zeke is the decline of thei importance of the running game, and FA backs aren't getting the money they dsiappear or longer contracts because of their ling term health. Some of us have been saying for years that we need a run game and build a defense to be able to stop the run and homers like you have been telling us that we have great ownership, great coaching and great players

Nobody here will disagree.. If Quinn is such a good DC then get him the handful of players he needs to stop the run.
