probably had a partial tear and kept it hidden. Who knows.

It was upfront and obvious to everyone going in.
McCoy knew it and the Cowboys doctors flagged it and made it part of the contingency risk when signing him. They put that very specific and exact injury clause in the contract

People making McCoy out to be martyr or the Cowboys to be the bad guys here do not know the story at all.
Sucks for both McCoy and the Cowboys.
