I thought i'd Copy and Paste some quotes by Jags fans.

If you got any other info on him please feel free to share.

Wow, i heard he signed with the 'boys but didnt hear details..

Wow for that money we could have got him, i guess its the arrest that did it in for him most.

figures... i laugh at the thought of us trying to get compensatory picks, instead of just signing the guys we drafted and developed....

another dumb move in my opinion...

sensabaugh > consodine

He's had some traffic violations (hand gun registration laspe, wheelie on bike, and driving on suspended liscense), and for the last one he had legally registered and liscensed guns in his car, one of which was an AK, so he's a "bad guy" according to most here.

Good signing for the Cowboy's, actually. Much better than Roy Williams.

Gerald is hardly a bad guy. He did have some issues in his hometown of Kingsport, TN such as unregistered guns, driving on a suspended license, speeding, and popping wheelies on his street. But he is not a bad guy at all. And his football character is outstanding. He goes 100% on every snap and is a top notch contributor on Special Teams as well as being a very good up and coming SS.

Sensy started coming on big late last year.

When the rest of the team shut down and quit, he was one of the few out there still going hard every play. He's not a to 5 safety or anything, but he was developnig very well here and a number of us had hoped to see him stay in a Jags uniform.

Unfortunately, this looks like a minor blemish in Gene's philosophy to me. We lost a guy who the JAGS developed and is just reaching his potential, and has been getting better... and we aren't going to see much in the way of compensory for him.

Ah well, happy for Sensy that he found a team.

I wouldn't have minded if the Jags brought him back, but no big deal.

Will be interesting to see how he handles to spotlight/pressure of being a Cowboy. Much different than playing in a small market such as Jax.

Dude did/does have some superfreaky athletic skills.

Sorry for triple post, but it was actually 46", not 40", and 46" is tied for the 2nd highest in recorded pro sports, behind Michael Jordan

bad news for compensatory pick as its only a 1 year deal and probably a cheap one...

had the jags offered him a 5 year deal worth 23 or 24 million... he would have taken it i bet...

but no, we went with SEAN CONSIDINE BABY!!!

nevermind keeping a 5th round pick that developed into a guy that you would have taken in the 1st or 2nd round

I really think that if there weren't the character issues to contend with, we would have kept him. In the last quarter of the year(especially with 27 out) he was easily the most consistent player in our secondary. He caught my eye several times with big hits or breakups... the coaches know that. And dont forget he was getting back in his 0607 rhythm, where he had several pass breakups, and a half a dozen int oppurtunities.

I cant help but feel like we're a minor league team developing talent for the bigs, watching him come back from injury, while continuing to progress, and then lose him to a very modest deal...

This guy could end up a steal.

I like to hear good things about a Player when he leaves their current team.

Thats assuming all teams bad mout their players out the door once they leave like Cowboys fans do.

No kidding, it seems so easy to disregard the good things a guy did for this team once he leaves.

I honestly never heard of Sensabaugh before but I like what I am reading about him. At the very least, he is an upgrade over Davis and most likely an updrade over Williams.

I'm still hoping we bring Davis back, I'd much rather we keep Davis around then Watkins

I wanted the Cowboys to pick him up in 2004..I had him on my mock draft in the 4th round. I think he'll win that SS job unless they bring in a rook to battle him..and he'll most likely start but Scandrick or Ball will be mixed in as FS in some snaps...

I thought David Thompson and Joey Johnson registered right at, or slightly above, 50" vertical leaps. 52" always sticks in my mind with Thompson.

For you young'uns, David Thompson was an ABA/NBA great of the '70s mostly with the Denver Nuggets, and Joey Johnson was the younger brother of Suns and Celtics great Dennis Johnson. Joey played for the College of Southern Idaho and then ASU in the late '80s.

Earl Manigault was probably the greatest, semi-commonly known vertical leaper in modern sports. He was just over 6' and was the first to be reputed to take a stack of quarters off the top of a backboard.

Yea, I lived hoops when I was a kid.

Dr J, Darryl Dawkins, Bobby Jones, Darnell Hillman, Darrell Griffith, Marques Johnson.

When dunking was cool and meant something.

And when you had to be enough of a fan to close your eyes and cover your ears during the late local sports broadcast to not have the results of the tape delayed NBA finals revealed to you before you watched the game.

I don't know what he's going to do, but it makes me feel better about that safety position. The deal is a lot like Hamlin's.

Wonder if he will be re-signed, or they'll draft a guy there.

This guy ran a 4.44 and had a 3.98 short shuttle when he came out in 2005. He's athletic. Now, he is 6-0 1/2, 204 pounds. He came out at 214 pounds. Jacksonville drafted him in the 5th round. He was projected to go in the 4-5 range.

Now, he's a guy at that 6-0, 200 pound range who has the speed I like. It is in the mid-low 4.4s. That kind of makes up for him not being bigger or a little taller.

That speed and quickness compensates for his size, imo. If you are going to be a liittle smaller, you need to play fast and quick. If a guy is going to play around 200 pounds and not be very tall, he needs to be ablle to run and be quick. He needs to be athletic.

It sounds like Dallas is getting this guy at the right time, too.
