Get a Center!

If you look at what's left by ranking, it's almost definite that BPA at 51 is going to be either....

A defensive player.
A RB
A WR

The last two they simply cannot do.

In that case, theres a very good chance BPA will meet the need for a defensive player.

I'm just scared they get cute again and tell us this Asiasi guy is the next Tony Gonzales, or that absolutely HAD to have Hurts, or some garbage thereof..

That's a nice thought. I wish I shared their comfort.
Looney played pretty solid for fed
McGovern May be a good option
I was huge fan of taking Fred when we did because he was a great prospect
There are a couple of good prospects in this draft but I don’t see the need as something you reach for

I hope you're right, my friend. But I'm a tad bit skeptical.
Don't forget that Garrett and his plain scheme is no longer here. McCarthy and his staff know how to coach and create mismatches. You need chemistry with the OL over needing top picks every year. I said it last night and I will say it again, Dallas will not draft a center in this draft.

I love how crazy you are. Here. Have some whiskey.

I think center is a big problem also. Hopeful we draft on in rounds 2-4. Not gonna throw the ball with our QB on his back and we have to be able to run the ball or what in the world are we spending this much on a RB! We took a step back when Fredrick was out with his illness. Got better last year but not as good as before his illness. Gotta make this offense go and center is key.

My BAPON is Lloyd Cushenberry C/OG LSU. I remember the lean years between Andre Gurode and Travis Fredrick. C is the most important position on the OL. Ask Jimmy Johnson who drafted both Mark Stepnoski and Steve Wisenewski in his first draft as Cowboys Head Coach. Also the Landry years started with only Dave Manders, John Fitzgerald, and Tom Rafferty at C during that 20 year win streak.

Cushenberry said the toughest players he faced in college were Auburn’s Derrick Brown and Oklahoma’s Neville Gallimore.

Falcons got a good one and the Cowboys got a good one.

Jimmy's own words to Wisnewski. I didn't even know who you were. The raiders told me who they wanted me to take for them.

Much rather swing tackle. They'll have interior depth and seem to find good depth guys inside

They reported yesterday that they were comfortable with Jumbo, McGovern and Williams to compete for the Center position

isnt CWill our LG???

we know what we have in Looney. He’s on a one year deal.

that leaves MCgov. Raw rookie.

the OP has a good point.

we need a C.

Our strength has been offense in most years. Now that we have one of the most legit WR positions in recent memory, we have to protect Dak. Losing Fredbeard really hit home with me. Not an attractive pick, but we need some nasty in the middle of our line. I've always been a BPA guy, but I'm concerned about how our O-Line is going to perform minus our dude. What do you guys think?
McGovern is our C.
