Overpaying for an average QB when this team has so many needs. I guess Jerry was right. We are that close.;)

IMO the bargain and the guy to get in all of this was Smith. He and Cousins are about equal talents and he cost a lot less. Now some team is likely going to pay a lot more for Cousins than the Skins paid for Smith. There is a good chance that whoever signs Cousins was one move too late.

Hey Jerry how about you go out and get Cousins and give us a Franchise QB who's got all the talent necessary to take this Team along with Zeke and our offline to the Superbowl! Without a quality QB teams go nowhere (unless they have the 2000 Ravens def) and waiting for Dak to become a Cousins might take forever or simply never happen!

Jerry probably won't so our troubles at QB will continue and continue and continue!!!
Cousins isnt a franchise QB. He has but 1 option,MAYBE 2. The Browns or the Bills. He's backed into a corner.

He is still 3rd Cousins and you want to go for him? No thanks.

I agree with the thought that while it is an obvious upgrade, it’s an expensive upgrade. I personally do not think the team is a QB away, and that the franchise is an awkward place... so I wouldn’t make the move to sign him. His best years would be wasted here.

No he wouldn't because his contract would cripple the team and Dak was better than Cousins in his rookie year. Who knows if Dak is the future but Cousins sure isn't.
If Cousins was any sort of future, the Commanders wouldn't have signed another QB.

The Commanders are super duper dumb, to be fair to Cousins. They are an average team that got hit with a ton of OL injuries and he still played well.

IMO the bargain and the guy to get in all of this was Smith.

Smith is entirely the product of Andy Reid's offensive gameplans. If you swapped him with Dak, Dak would have similar production to Smith, and Smith would be trying to run Aikmans 1993 playbook and looking terrible because he's an aging spread jockey with decent wheels but a soft arm.

Reid is bad at time management and in-game adjustments, but great at scripting plays to work around a player's limitations.

His own team didnt want him...

He will cost too much ans really isnt a big enough gap in talent to go at all cost and get him..smh..he couldn’t even beat us bro..seriously...he and the Commanders lost to a bad cowboy team what 4 times in two years maybe thats why they let him go..cousins has talent but no way he much of an upgrade to Dak..

There is no dimension where Dak is better than Cousins. Some of you act like there is no access to data in the world and we are forced to rely on your ignorant propaganda. Please stop trolling.
Over the last 3 years, Cousins is 3rd in completion percentage, 4th in yards per attempt, and 6th in QB rating... and that’s among all QBs who have played the last 3 years. I am pretty sure he did that without 4 first team All-Pro OL and RB as well. Now please report back to your rock.

Not true Denver and the jets are showing heavy interest as well..he is a starting qb who proved he can play..they are all overpaid..
