At all costs...let Dez go...don't sign Martin RG or d-law as without a qualified franchise QB we are going NOWHERE !!!!! Cousin at least can pass when he's got some off-lineman injured can Dak?

Dude you need to stop thinking everything works like a video game or fantasy

That's silly. Without Martin your OL takes a huge step back. Without Lawrence our defense no longer has a pass rush.

Dak has a few bad games and still had a winning record. Dak also is 4-0 against Cousins but yet somehow you want Cousins....... With over 100 million dollars. No thanks.

Dak is going into his 3rd year and his ceiling is much higher then Cousins without the crazy cap hit. Instead of paying Cousins use that money to give Dak receivers that can catch and get open. Bring in a Landry and draft Sutton. Resign Martin and draft a LG or RT.

So, dismantle the heart of the team for one player .... glad you aren't in charge.

Approaching 30yo (Aug), this is most likely Cousins’ only opportunity to get a long-term, big-$$$$-guaranteed mega-deal...plus, there’ll be a bidding war for his services.

If we subtract key players from both the O and the D in order to sign this guy, and then hand him over to Jason Garrett, fans better be ready for another 3-peat of 8-8, or worse.

The team that signs Cousins is going to pay a huge $$$ price. A lot of teams are in the mix and he is going to get a really big contract. If the Cowboys were to somehow win that bidding game then what happens with Irving and Lawrence and Hitch?? Do they get Dez to take a big pay cut or the most team friendly restructured contract of all time? Do they let Witten go? And then there is the Martin contract to consider. They want to sign what many consider the best guard in the NFL before his contract expires. And they still have Dak who may be able to regain his form of his first year and half. I just not see the Cowboys being in the Cousins bidding for long if at all.

Hey Jerry how about you go out and get Cousins and give us a Franchise QB who's got all the talent necessary to take this Team along with Zeke and our offline to the Superbowl! Without a quality QB teams go nowhere (unless they have the 2000 Ravens def) and waiting for Dak to become a Cousins might take forever or simply never happen!

Jerry probably won't so our troubles at QB will continue and continue and continue!!!
Zzzzzzzz

We don't need to pull a dumb Commanders type move and guarantee some questionable QB 70 plus mil.

We have our franchise QB in house. Develop him.

Qbs don't play against each other.

Cousins is unquestionably a much better QB.

He's also a far far more expensive one.
they don't....news to me.
I'll take the guy who went 4-0 over your guy.

It would be worst. Dak is the first QB to have back to back winning seasons and keep us away from 8-8.

Not only that Cousins threw a pick 6 to Byron Jones...... The guy that most hate on here, in that case you should never want the QB that throws a pick 6 to the worst player in history

Yes, let’s go get another big stats QB that even the QB starved Skins know is a loser. Ridiculous.

Actually, it’s the other way around. Kirk played the franchise tag route, because he knew he was going to get paid big and the Commanders know he’s not going to sigh there.

That FO gave up a third and a promising CB for Alex Smith, because Cousins was bouncing..

Imagine the excuses for Dak if he had to play with an OL that has like 20 different starting line ups because of injuries and their best OL out for games..

Talk about excuses when Smith was out..

Commanders FO has been a disaster since they fired the best thing going for them, their GM, because of Bruce Allen.. I live in the area and Commanders fans are not happy..

The Dak fan boys are broken records...the only thing they can use as a defense for him is something he has no claim to....a W/L record. QBs don't win games and they don't face each other....this is just common sense that shouldn't have to be explained to you over and over.

Cousins is much better than Dak and played for a franchise that makes our dysfunction seem like nothing.

Those claiming that even the Skins don't want him: false. They know they screwed the pooch with him and he was on his way out so they got desperate and made this god awful trade with KC. They would have been better off letting Cousins go and doing nothing. What's worse is that they paid Cousins a ton of cash on the tag for two straight years and literally got nothing long term out of it; would have been better off letting him go earlier or trading him. For all of our front office's faults, Washington remains the joke of the division. Good for Cousins on seeing himself out of that dumpster fire.

But as others have mentioned, we can't afford him. Dak will start next season which basically makes 2018 a throwaway year and hopefully the front office can find a prospect worth a damn in 2019.

I'm certain that they are riding with Dak this year.

His 3rd year will let us know what he is, for better or worse.

here's hoping it's very good
We've wasted 8 years while Garrett has been playing HC, it won't kill us to give Dak a couple of years, provided we get him some help with recievers that can actually catch a football.
