Get used to Cole Beasley becoming Tony's safety valve

We'll see, but you can't have backups just standing around on the sideline. They have to play on the kick teams, and Beasley can't do that other than return punts, and Dez and Harris are returning the punts.

And if they sign another waived receiver like it looks like they will, this could push Beasley even further off the radar.

YOu are right that typically four wide receivers are active, but I don't think that will be the case with our team this year, as we have contributors there; probably 5-6 active.

Right now I would suspect our inactives would be:

2-3 OL
1 QB
1 RB if we carry 4 or 5.
1 DL
1 LB
1 DB

At any rate we'll see. Let's revisit in 5 or 6 weeks to see if Beasley has made some plays.

A safety valve who will probably only catch 10 passes. Yup.

I say you are far underestimating his potential to contribute this year.
