I've been watching a lot of Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel and I'm curious, who here believes in ghost?

The other day I was sitting on my couch. In a quick instant a large shadow passed by my window. My blinds were closed, so I could not see anything other than the shadow. My cat saw it too and jumped up and ran toward the window growling. I got up and went out onto my back porch. There was no one there. My back porch faces a green belt area of my apartment complex and I can see everything from there. If there had been a person there they had nowhere to hide. Who knows? It was not my first strange encounter. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts and spirits, but I have seen a couple things that were weird and not easily explained.

I believe that some people believe in ghost. :D

Myself can't say that I do

When you know people who dont ever lie about anything that swear theyve seen them makes me sorta believe.

So i'd say yes but personally i've never seen one.

Yes. I do. There's a sizable body of research on the paranormal, and the only reason for outright rejecting it is a particularly narrow interpretation of Occam's Razor.

Nope, but I do believe what most people think are ghosts or paranormal activity is caused by demonic intervention.

Can you explain what Occam's Razor is?

I thought I seen a ghost once, only to realize it was cajun in a speedo. :p:

Now that probably is demonic intervention.

I don't believe in ghosts. But I am prepared to believe in ghosts, if the evidence shows up. Same as alien visitation, demonic intervention, and a host of others.

Occam's Razor holds that we shouldn't compound our answers with unnecessary variables. In other words, the simplest explanation is usually the best one.

Of course, exactly what constitutes a simple explanation has been the subject of much philosophical debate.

Nope. It's all in your head.

Look into sleep paralysis for the alien experience.

I can't say that I believe in them, but if I ever encounter one, I hope they bring me a subway sandwich. Man, I really like Subway.

I don't believe in alien visitation, but not all incidents of alien abduction involve people taken from their beds while asleep.

Incidentally, I'm prone to sleep paralysis so I know something about it.

The funny thing is I had an encounter the entire family did at one point or another in the house. My encounter happened with another kid we saw the same thing had the same experience (I say you could ask him but he died in a motorcycle wreck) any ways after all that I am more skeptical than people who have not seen and I know I did not imagine what happened. I saw what I saw.

What exactly did you see?
