Ghosts

Ghosts dont exist.

People in science believe that if it hasn't any proof, or it hasn't been discovered, then it is not a possibility.

There is absolutely no proof at all that the Higgs Boson exist, yet scientists have spent billions of dollars building the Large Hadron Collider, and countless research hours including "trillions of mini big bangs" and have yet to encounter one. They thought they did last year and realized it was just an issue with the machinery. Yet they still to this day think it is the element that gave life to the earth.

So to say something that has no proof and hasn't been discovered is not a possibility is beyond wrong.

They have yet to prove the Higgs exist, or that the Big Bang is a fact. Both are theories, yet people all across the world believe both. Not saying I do or don't myself. I am just trying to argue the point that things don't have to be concrete to be believed by science.
-----------------------------

As far as ghosts, I am slightly skeptical myself. I have never seen one, but I know several people that claim to. I believe their accounts, but haven't seen one myself. I am convinced most are explainable situations of misidentification, but that doesn't mean they all are. There have been lots of stories and videos that just can't be explained away.

And Aliens? I am a huge believer in that field. I have a hard time wrapping my head around scientists discovering that there are literally millions if not billions of planets out there and that we are the ONLY life. It just seems to me like the possibility of having that many galaxies and planets and we are the one freak occurence, is so staggeringly low that I have to think something else is out there. I don't know if they look like the Aliens we see on TV or not, or if they are simply plant life, or even just micro organisms, but I believe there is something else on some other planet. I doubt I'll ever see one in my lifetime, but I'd like to know.

No better place to meet a ghost and get the crap scared out of you than a bathroom.:)

You have a great point here!

You could also just tell the Ghost that you are in a hurry and to "piss off".
:laugh2:

I used to see shadowy silhouettes when I was younger. I've read that children are able to see ghosts.

I believe it was my imagination though.

A theory in science is not a guess.

No, I don't believe in ghosts. Yes, I believe in aliens (it's irrational not to). No, I don't believe aliens have visited our planet.

I have never seen a ghost. Most people that do are missing a few marbles up stairs.

I'd like to say something about that and the previous statement about your senses fooling you. The brain is a very complicated thing that we still cannot figure fully out. I think there has to be momentary lapses in the in brain that allow for these things, I mean it is not schizophrenia but still something that is off.

So yeah I agree with Theo, don't believe in them, and believing in aliens.

What is really weird is I like watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost adventures a lot, lol.

Let's assume for the moment that Ghost Hunters and the like do not fake evidence. Then how would one explain the things they record?

For me, having a science background, I think the reality of extraterrestrial life is a much higher probability than spirits or ghosts.

Our universe is huge, and it is almost mathematically impossible not to sustain life elsewhere. For ghosts, that is more of a religious belief to me and I don't see how ghosts can really exist. But, energy cannot be created nor destroyed, that puzzles me. When we perish, our energy has to go somewhere. Perhaps, it can be in an alternate form but that is something we will never know for sure until we leave this earth.

For the record, I love ghost stories and the possibility of believing they do exist. I hope when I die, I can choose to oversee someone/something and I will choose to haunt Cowboys stadium :)

No such thing as ghosts as far as physics can detect. They just don't line up with known behaviors for photons, mass, energy, gravity, everything.

Bacteria, fungi, insects, worms, scavengers, predators, etc. will consume your stored energy for their own uses when you die.

Well, if you think about it, it's almost a certainty that Fairies exist in one of the infinite parallel universes that comprise the Multiverse. Unicorns, too.

Multiverse? Is that where multi-grains come from?

Then you deny the existance of the soul?

Then they aren't aliens (not to us anyway).

Ex. Mexicans in Mexico aren't "Illegal Aliens" to us till they cross into our country illegally. Therefore an "Alien" that hasn't visited our planet isn't an Alien at all.

:D

For those who believe in or have thought to have seen ghosts, where do you believe they came from?

Were they previously humans who died and roam around on earth? Are they aliens from somewhere other than earth? Sent from heaven or some afterlife?

Just curious where people think they come from?

I believe. One night I was doing some pottery work when Patrick Swayze started rubbing on me. I called Bill Murray to come over and zap him.

I don't play that game. :lmao:
