Sorry but I think the GiAints are a phony.

I don't expect to destroy them like we did the E-girls today but I do expect to win and win decisively.

Their Secondary sucks.
And for once, our passing game looks lethal.

They have a good ST and have gotten alot of good field position with it but so do we so I think we match up well with them.

Eli will get tatooed.

Key to victory?

Shut down Tiki.

The Giants are a good overall team, but their pass D is terrible. Bledsoe WILL rip them apart.

Since 1990, the year the bye week was first implemented, they are 3-13 following the bye week

BUT, they have won the game following a bye, every 5 years.

1990

1995

2000

Yeah, I was going to mention this too. That could be attributed to Jim Fassel, I know he was constantly ripped on talk radio here in NJ for his post-bye games.

If the Cowboys can release the dogs on Eli without having to really worry about the deep ball, we should be alright. Jumping out to a lead early is also going to be important. If you take Tiki and Jacobs out of the game, it'll be smooth sailing.

The Giants D is a big concern, even among their own fans. They've played some of the worst teams in the league so far, and all of them at home. Their one road game was in SD and we all saw how that went. Eli is growing into a nice QB, but he's still got some work to do. If we play half as well as we did today we will simply blow the Giants out. When you build your record on beating teams with a combined 5 - 10 record, and you've faced them all at home, you're building a house of cards. It's about to come crumbling down unless we REALLY screw up.

Exactly and in all honesty we have shut down Tiki 75% of the game and then he has a couple big runs and makes it look like he owned Dallas. The Giants have not faced a defense with as much depth and physical talent. If we game plan (defense) as well this week as we did last it will be a long day for the Giants.

Remember we have faced Plaxico before last year against the Steelers and he was a non factor. Our receivers will be open all day against the Giants. I hope Price suits up in this one it could be a total desimation by air.

Our secondary really looked good out there. I like the nickel scheme we brought against the Eagles I think the Giants will try what every team has tried to spread us out with 3 receivers so I hope we use the same defense.

Does anyone know how good the OL is for the Giants? They better be good or it will be a route.

going to be similar to the eagles game. if Pettitti can stop Strahan, we can blitz Eli, and keep Tiki Barber limited, we should win. I think we can do these things and should win.

I believe that Giants pose to be a much tougher opponent than the Eagles.

Eagles have talent but at the end of the day they are one dimentional. It's difficult to win with one dimentional offense. Eagles are almost exclusively a passing team this yr. If you get a good passrush on McNabb, their offense will sputter.

Giants on the other hand is very balanced. Tiki has always been a thorn on our side and Eli is growing up fast. When the team can run and use pass action, defense play on it's heals. They will prove to be a better opponent than Eagles.

To Win next week, we must contain Tiki and Pettiti must be able to keep Strahan in check. Note to Pettiti....Strahan is not Kease...he is a real man.

Cowboys need to enjoy the eagles win today and get ready for G-Men tomorrow. Regardless of how the Giants obtained their record they should be looked at for what they are and right now that is the team who holds 1st place in the NFC East along with Washington. Dallas has to remain focused and get ready to play 4 full qrts of football if they expect to win this game

Completely agree. Alot of poster pointed out some excellent defensive stats which showed Giants weakness. However, we couldn't do much with the Raider D or the SF D (until 2nd half). Thus, until we prove that our offense is consistent, I am always worried.

Tiki concerns me because he's done well against us and we've had trouble containing runners this yr. Stopping Tiki with sure tackles should be our #1 priority on D and our OL needs to do continue to do what they did to Phili!

I live in NJ too.

Fassel was blamed for everything.

Couglhin is way more strict, but it may be anything, players, leaders on the team, how they prepared, or its just coincidences

Thanks Norm
I think he's referencing Norm Hitzges one of the long time sports radio hosts in the DFW area. Norm always spews facts like that out.

I thought maybe he mistakenly said Norm when he meant Cliff.....as in Cliff Claven who always seemed to be full of odd facts like that.

I could be wrong, but at least I got to post "Cliff Claven" today. That alone makes it a good day.

As far as the Giants, I would hate to underestimate them. Parcells himself said today that he thought the division was shaping up where any team could win when the played the other.

The Giants made some good moves this offseason. They have a lot of offensive talent going against a green Dallas defense.

The Giants can be had all day long through the air if BP doesn't fall back into the same conservative run to set up the pass problem that he had the first 4 games. With our receiving threats we should pass to open up the run like yesterday. Every team this year has been able to throw the ball against them, and this game should be no different if we get any protection for Drew at all. Eli on the road has not been good. We bring the heat like yesterday.

Our biggest challenge against NYG is to play with the same intensity that demolished the Iggles. If we do, our O should dominate their D, and we should be able to control the game.
