If anything, Arizona who lost Rolle picks one spot ahead of us.
Yeah but they still have Adrian Wilson who has a big contract and I doubt they want to give a multi-million dollar deal to another one.

So he turned down 6 years, 38.6 million for 5 years, 37 million.

He's 27 now. Smells like a 3 year deal with a lot of money he may never see.

between this and canty the giants are turning into the Commanders in vastly overpaying average players.

Picking that late isn't requiring a contract big enough to sway you from taking a player if you need him. Wilson or not, they were going to give Rolle millions more then they would have to give a rookie.

Solid signing. With Rolle and Phillips that's a solid safety duo. A Miami tandem.

How so? They play the same position and I don't believe either of them could, or would, be a good Strong Safety.

So to give this guy a 5 year deal and that kind of cash the GMen have to pretty sure they're not going to get Phillips back or, at the very least, they don't believe he'll ever be the same and will only be a back up player at this point.

In this day in age, you need 2 free safeties and 0 strong safeties..Their starting duo WILL BE Phillips and Rolle and I know there is no way you think otherwise

Not really. Adrian Wilson, Troy Polamalu and Bob Sanders make more per season.

Justin tuck must be livid about all these free agent signings and the attempt to try and buy a championship.

It must be eating him up.

That's a good signing for them...damn!

A young Pro Bowl FS is hard to find.

Phillips has a chronic arthritic knee - dude is done. He's tried all kinds of new medical tech to fix it but it hasn't worked out. I was a big fan of getting Rolle here but for $8 mil thats a no, and an even bigger no because his stats are not that impressive and he was in a weaker division.

That's what I've heard as well.

Today on NFL network, someone said they were trying to get blood around his knee and they couldn't (think they were talking about microfracture surgery). They went on to say it's a bone on bone condition, will not get better and that his career is in jeopardy.

Maybe I spoke too soon..I had no idea about this. I thought he just had a regular type of season ending injury..I apologize to BH..

Rolle was a second alternate who got in only because the Pro Bowl was played before the Super Bowl and Darren Sharper couldn't play in it. And he's already 28 years old.

I love when our rivals grossly overpay for players.

You would think that the Giants would have learned that from last season but I guess not. What this tells me is that the Giants got desperate and are not relying on the draft.

We have to credit Jerry and Wade because we have been excellent in FA and not breaking the bank for one player. Someone said earlier that with big $$ comes big egos and I am really buying into that. Are signings from last year were cost effective and they ALL worked out.

I know Rolle was just an alternate Adam, I guess I should have put that in parentheses for everybody.

Rolle doesn't turn 28 until December 16th....that's young to me. :)
