Giant's fans think they have the solution to solving Cowboys pick your poison offense

Came in expecting to see some sort of petition to allow the Giants to put 12 or 13 players on the field when they're on defense.

I see that's not the case.

Looks like it'll be another week of our Dallas O rolling on over another poor team.

:D

We will kill them on our zone stretch plays if JPP doesn't play. Also our counter plays should be very effective too

there's just so many things to worry about as a D coordinator against this Offense. You have to let one thing fall. You can't cover it all. Which thing are you going to let fall? Whatever that thing is thats how Cowboys will beat you.

if you don't have the personnel to execute this for 60min and bring their A game it's game over. better hope Cowboys shoot themselves in the foot with mistakes more than they did against the Vikes. But thats not going to happen again.

True and what Clove said is almost true you have to hope the offense shoots themselves in the foot with penalties and other negative plays. When Dallas can keep the down and distance in their favor the defense is screwed.

The Giants are not quite giving Dak his due yet.

I recall early in the year reading so many of their fans saying how glad they were to face Dak vs Tony.

They are thinking on these simple terms:
  • Dallas had beaten New York 5 straight with Tony as QB
  • New York has beaten Dallas the the only time Dak was the starting QB
  • 0-5 vs 1-0 in some of their eyes:rolleyes:

Of course, we all know it's nothing close to that simple.
This "overall team" is better than any of those teams from the 5-0 streak.
Dak and Zeke have both progressed since week one too.

Genius gameplan, I'm sure no team before us has ever thought of that.

Except Eric Weddle said this before the Ravens played us. Stop the run. Force Dak into 3rd and longs.

One minor problem - Dak has been one of the best QB's in the league on third and long.

Oh, and selling out for the run means you leave Beasley and Witten one on one, who get open pretty much whenever they want. And then there's this Dez guy, who looks completely healthy and back to his top 5 form.
I wouldn't say witten routinely gets open. It's like this specific to him combination of consistent reliable route running. Slick maneuvering. And most importantly a huge body that dudes just can't seem to get around.

So I would say he's open even when he isn't open. That's why he's never really been a huge red zone threat Bc there's no room for him to operate. He can't box his man out Bc there's somebody else 5 yards on the other side of him

The plan is to somehow force the team into turnovers: disguising coverages and well timed blitzes to force interceptions, stripping the ball, etc. That's really the only way you'll beat the team man to man. But Dak and Elliot have done very well at protecting the ball, and that's why the team is 11-1.

He seems to get open against the Giants in the middle quite a bit.

If it was me I would make the Cowboys commit 3 holding penalties on their first 4 drives, than get them to fumble twice in the 2nd half.

If teams implement this strategy Dallas won't win another game this year. Lights out!

Surprised I didn't read anything about JPP handling Tyron, and Harrison dominating Martin.

see my post above. Giants d without JPP and they arent the Vikes. Thats funny to me. These guys act like they have the 85 bears. thats funny.
They don't...they have a defense that is giving up more ppg than Dallas. They have 11 ints and 27 sacks, vs. 4 and 22 for Dallas...They had four short fields against the Steelers in the second half (40 yd line to midfield) and only converted one of them into points on the final drive, aided by 22 yards in penalties (with just 30 seconds remaining). Their offense is in bad shape.

JPP is a huge loss for them if the writing on the wall is accurate.

So much is wrong in that post. Have fun with trying to have Jenkins lockdown Dez by himself, if anything DRC is the guy who matches up better physically. And then he says put DRC on Beasley, who isn't a slot corner at all, and they don't really have one. Then they think their linebackers can cover Witten after allowing 100+ yards to Ladarius Green last week? What's funny is that it all may be a moot point, as I'm not sure they will even be able to stop the run with JPP out. They have no depth on their Dline, that's a huge loss.
