their is an old saying, the game isnt over till the fat lady sings;

game isnt over yet in other words

granted with lead on giants now, eagles should win; but giants have come back before from such a devicit

would be great for us if giants lose, gives us a chance for east lead and playoff bye

but you play the games one at a time, then let the chips fall at the end

Haha.....:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Thanks for breakin it down and telling us what it means.

Eli Manning was fantastic against us.

...and our defense is playing night and day better than it was in that game. I look forward to a rematch.

Seeing the Giants get spanked was simply wonderful. That game against the Iggles next week is going to be the game of the week. It's shaping up to be something for the ages.

Eli was absolutely horrid today. He threw several passes that should have been picked off and he wasn't very accurate. If Romo had that type game today, this forum would've went bananas.

Eli did have a great game, but our defensive line couldn't get anywhere near him. That has something to do with it, no? Lest we forget that this d-line didn't even sack Byron Leftwich in week 1.

They have found an identity, and Eli's game may look different next time.

The Giants still deserve our respect but we clearly look the better team. Definitely talent wise.

The Eagles are scary at times. McNabb is still capable of beating teams and Jackson is probably the best WR in the East with apologies to Austin (need to see more).

This is going to be a good game next week.

I am not even sure what your point is.

I have made it pretty clear yes the defense is playing better now. Playing excellent, credit wade phillips and the staff.

But again, how does our team improving take anything away from manning in week 2. He was outstanding. Probably the best I have seen him play.

It may look different next time. I sure hope it does, but their offensive line had alot to do with us struggling to.

Not sure why it is so hard to give credit to other players for some cowboys fans.

:laugh2: My, my, aren't we a bit thick today?

My point is that he played against a swiss cheese defense in week 1, and we are much improved now. Our defense made Byron Leftwich look half decent in week 1, and I look forward to the rematch.

Please don't lump me in with other Cowboy fans as one not giving credit to opposing players. I've been a fan too long, and am far too mature for that. Yes, I acknowledge he had a great game, but he has looked pretty ****ty at times in recent weeks. If Romo played the same way for 3 weeks in a row, the fans here would be ready to lynch him.

Wasnt he responsible for the defense looking like that? Because I say he was, He made some throws that night he may never make again.

he was simply fabulous that night. Why you dont get this I dont know. But I dont really care to argue about it anymore. So if you think he stinks and we gave him plays or whatever...thats fine.

Its funny. Even though we blew that game against them, in the process we laid the blue prints for New Orleans and Eagles to beat them. They were EXPOSED in that victory against us.

I'll give you the Eagles, but I don't think New Orleans needs a blueprint to beat anybody right now.

Yeah I hear ya.

But you gotta believe that Payton went over the success we had against them. Brees put that ball in places where his receivers were actualy covered pretty good.

So I agree. They are on another level right now.
But... its early.

Yeah, it is early, and I do agree that Payton did study the porous run d of the Giants. We racked up over 250 on the ground that day.

However, Brees and payton are all about an aerial assault. Scoring in as few as 3 or 4 plays a drive. That is just unreal. They sprinkle in the ground game, but don't rely on it.

Brees is putting the ball in tight spaces, and I have to think that it could cost him one day. It has worked so far, but teams will eventually adjust.

Two great points.

I think eventually some team exposes this during season or worse in the playoffs.

The Giants? They beat Washington, Dallas (still can't believe it), Tampa Bay, Kansas City and Oakland before the losses started. They are who we thought they were.

Exactly. I don't understand why they were anointed as the class of the NFC after winning one game against a good team. After the "good" start, they could end up 9-7 or 8-8.

After the 3 straight losses, they still have to play Atlanta, @ Denver, Dallas, Philly, @ Washington, and @ Minnesota. It could get real ugly for them.

Maclin and Jackson are young receivers if our DBs continue to lay wood those 2 receivers are not mature enough to get past it and will short arm and alligator a few passes if they hear footsteps. Jackson especially since he was so used to being head and shoulders better than his competition in college he probably doesn't know what it feels like to be blasted by a 240lbs linebacker that runs a 4.5 40 in the NFL.

Then he'll burn us with slants and crossing patterns. He's not a complete WR but he is quick and fast.

OTOH, one or two very good hits might temper him some.
Jackson doesn't like going over the middle and won't if he doesn't have to. I saw him short arm a ball thrown by McNabb a few times. He really doesn't burn people on slants.

It's only surprising to the media hypers saying how the Giants were head-and-shoulders above the rest of the division. They never were. Still, there is a lot of season left to play...

...everything changed when they lost Kenny Phillips for the year...New Orleans provided the blueprint...

This is going to be a good game next week.

...Dallas MUST pressure McNabb or it's going to be VERY difficult to beat them at the Linc...if the Eagles o-line really is vulnerable right now then Dallas will have to prove it if they want to win this game...Safety play will be pivotal against Jackson and Celek...then there's the matter of Westbrook, who'll surely play next sunday...tough game...Austin will get to prove himself against some of the best cornerbacks in the conference over the next two weeks...we know he can kill the Packers but the Eagles are another matter...the Eagles look like they will once again be the biggest obstacle for the Cowboys this year...

...we learned today that the Giants are just not very good right now and their secondary issues will continue to be tough to overcome...they are not a play from behind team...the New Orleans game was no aberration...Manning is starting to regress and Bradshaw is really taking a beating...if he goes down, the Giants season could quickly follow...Jacobs is not the guy who makes it go...

...while it's still too early to write them off, they have the look of a team that will not be without serious challenges for the remainder of the season...if they had lost to Dallas in week two they'd be .500 right now...
