Its not right. Playoff results except for those two teams which reach the superbowl don't have anything to do with the draft order.

Actually it is right. In the past it would have been wrong.

Well he did have 20 independent draft sites backing him up and even NFL freakin dot com confirming it... and we still weren't buying it. To be honest, I'm still not 100% convinced... :laugh2:

It went as far as contacting the league office for clarification and what I got was more confusing then what we have seen. After about an hour of emails I thought I finally understood it and up until now it has played out like it should but this is the first time since then we have been presented with a scenario like we have now.

That was 2 years ago. Last year we knew what we were talking about. Every time we get it, they change the qualifications.

I corrected my comment. Wasn't aware until today that playoff results had any bearing unless the teams made the superbowl, which they don't unless the teams had the same record going into the playoffs.

We have the 29th pick. Colts, G-men, and Pats are only teams behind us. Colts, Pack and Cowboys were all 13-3 and eliminated prior to Super Bowl. The tiebreaker is lowest opponent winning %. Pack had the lowest, then Cowboys, then Colts. Pack picks 28, Boys 29, Colts 30.

Per NFL.com:

Within a tied segment, non-playoff clubs are given priority over playoff clubs. Priority of playoff clubs within a tied segment will be based on their advancement in the playoffs, but they will not drop out of their tied segment unless they participate in the Super Bowl.

Thus Green Bay, having advanced to the NFC championship game, will pick after Dallas and Indy. Dallas will pick 22 & 28, then Colts (owned by SF) 29, GB 30, Giants 31, Pats pick forfeited in spygate.

Dallas will pick ahead of the Colts (SF), because they both advanced to the same point in the playoffs, but Dallas had a lower strength of schedule.
