Moreover, Gibbs said he would send two important and controversial officiating decisions to the NFL offices for review. The first was a 15-yard personal foul in the fourth quarter against free safety Sean Taylor that provided a turning point in the game. The second occurred on a similar hit to Commanders wide receiver Brandon Lloyd in the final seconds that was not called on Vikings safety Greg Blue. It would have given Hall a shorter field goal attempt.:laugh1:

Joe Gibbs is not just a quack. He is the biggest of all quacks. The 'quackmaster,' if you will.

The latter would be my guess, has he ever sent in tapes when his team wins ? What a whiner...

He's smart; the refs must know they will be held accountable for their calls. Of course he's got blinders on so they don't take him seriously.

Come on guys ... he just wants to make the league better.

He's trying to help here, and all he gets is grief for it.

Here he is in his oversized glasses typing up another report for the league office:

Dallas should send a tape to the league as well. I just finished charting the game, and Parcells was right on the challenge flag he threw.

On this play with 5:03 left in the game:

2-8-DAL38 (5:09) B.Leftwich pass short right to R.Williams ran ob at DAL 23 for 15 yards

The clock kept running after the play. That's why Parcells threw a challenge flag. The refs didn't notice the flag ran the next play anyway, then claimed the play was not reviewable and somehow took a timeout from Dallas.

This erroneously took away 30 seconds of clock and cost us a timeout. Dallas got the ball back, down 7 points, with 57 seconds left on the clock and no timeouts.

Would've been nicer to see us have 1:30 left on the clock with 1 timeout.

Gibbs can see more than the refs with those giant glasses.
Plus, isn't God on his side, too?

Well Gibbs needs something to do besides telling the defense to "stop 'em!"

its not only that he sends the tapes, but that he announces that he is going to send the tapes in. what that potentially does is make refs more hesitant to make calls against the skins because in the back of their minds gibbs will be causing a stir about it. its the whole squeaky wheel gets greased thing and thats probably why he does it. its a psychological thing. so in essence its smart and gives his team an advantage, but it also kind of goes against good etiquette in my oppinion.

there's questionable calls that help his team too. i would like it if every single game for the rest of this year the Commanders opposing teams coach spoke up in their post game press conference about 1 or 2 calls or noncalls that favored the Commanders and then announced they were sending in a atpe for review.

They lost last week and so did I.... I got absolutely killed!!!! I'm going to use those same players in my starting line-up againg this week!!!!:lmao:

"Tape"?? How 80s. Does the NFL even have a tape player anymore?

Mr Gibbs, why don't you just make drawings of what happened on some scroll, put it in a bottle, and then throw it in the Atlantic.

Do all teams send tapes to the league?

Absolutly. This is pretty standard practice around the league. In fact, pretty much all teams have a short little, Coke bottle glasses wearing, back of the equipment room closet typing guy, who is paid in Grape Nehi and is specifically responsible for sending these tapes to the league office. Not an intrical part of the team in most cases. Just so happens that in Washington, that guy doubles as there HC.

:D
