Gibbs is from "Old School Boys Skins" Rival... and the fact that BP beats him more than not!!! I would expect nothing less from GIBBS!!!

Jimmy would do that same!!!

I think it's Parcells... he has parlayed some great defensive play with some key break the bank free agent signings: ARE, Lloyd, Carter, and Archuleta will give them a foundation for years to come.:laugh2:

Man I can't even come up with a good argument for Gibbs other than one playoff win against an anemic Tampa Bay offense... big whoop.

Here is all you need to know about this argument.

Parcells rebuilds the giants
Parcells takes over 1-15 pats team, rebuilds them and in the fourth year they go to the super bowl, leaving them with an abundance of talent

Parcells takes over 1-15 jets team, 2 years later they go 12-4 and lose in the afc championship.

Parcells takes over 5-11 perenniall loser Cowboys and goes 10-6 and loses in the playoffs, then does not spend any money in free agency becuase he is unsure of the talent and the direction, a bad 04 marred with injuries and roster deletions leads to an outstanding draft in 05 and an abundance of cap room. He in essence played with house money for a year and then after realizing it wasnt any good decided to rebuild in a lesser format the team. They finish 9-7 and now in 06 he may have provided us with the one missing link, a young able quarterback. Time will tell.

Here is my argument to any Commanders fan or anyone else who cares to hold gibbs in higher regard than Parcells.

If gibbs wants to be in that category, when he came back he needed to take over a team like last years texans, and then put them in the super bowl in 4 years, an nfc championship in 2 or win a super bowl in 4. Then he needed to leave comeback and take over another texans/raiders type organization where the cupboard is bare and do any of the following.

Coming back to a talented team and having an endless pot of money to hand pick your players and oh by the way returning the old coaches you coached with. Funny how parcells doesnt have one assistant he recently worked with anywhere in Dallas, outside of haley or earlier carthon.....

Anyone care to go on a limb and guess what parcells would have done in the past 2 and half years in washington with their talent and his original coaching staff? If anyone can argue that point I would love to meet him. Because this is an area everyone leaves out of the equation, Bill had no familiar coaches here and he was teaching the coaches along with the players.

Either way I think Gibbs is an outstanding coach and had many hall of famers along the way. Parcells on the other hand is a more skilled coach, deeper resume and understands and coaches all aspects of the game. I would be writing the exact same thing had Bill Parcells been coaching in Cleveland or atlanta etc...the last four years and been asked the same question.

oh and that handshake is from the first meeting of the two when gibbs came back. MOnday night game at fedex in september of 04 when richie anderson threw hb pass to glenn for an eventual game winner.
