him or Landry would be real nice!!!:)

If we would go the FA S route I would pick Landry for sure..I'm interested to see if they tender him..probably will. But if he isn't I think the Cowboys should make a push for him. A natural SS that plays the run and pass very well.

Landry has been on my radar since he was drafted. he is my main want this offseason.

Okay, I'll admit it, this is the first FA that would really interest me. He's only 27.

Unless this guy suffered some injury that I don't know about and lost a ton of ability, I would be all over this if I were Jerry. He is a good safety in his prime. Guys like this don't usually just become available and safety is definitely a position of need. This is the first intriguing cut news I've heard.

Wilson's a solid player. Very good tackler and average in coverage, he certainly isn't a horrible cover guy he's average in that regard. All and all a solid SS

wouldnt want him at all. not bad but not great. just average

is there any other cowboys fan here from new york besides me?

i watch every giants game as i live in ny and more often then not this guy was torched in pass coverage.

yes he racks up a lot of tackles but he often got blown up in coverage. i will say hes great againgst the run though.

but since he got hurt his rookie season hes shyed more often away from contact and wasnt as much of a hard hitter as he was coming out.

and in his last few yrs in ny he always seemed to miss and whiff on key tackles in games.

i think it was him or maybe it could have been butler but one of them in the last gm of the season when the giants were trying to end the patriots undefeated streak that got torched on the same play by randy moss.

they got beat. the refs called it back, bill ran the same play and beat him on it again lol

Agreed. Question is can we get him cheap?

Cheap? The guy will be lucky to have a starting job in the league.

you just say the funniest things all the time. Gibril Wilson is better than anybody we have at strong safety. I live in NY and saw him play all the time up until last season. he's solid but nothing special. I would rather draft one though like I said he's better than any of our guys at strong safety
right here man:laugh2:

I take a look at Kalimba Edwards

it would be good depth at OLB

He was a freak of nature when he was at South Carolina then he went to Detroit to die I guess. Five sacks with Oakland last year in 14 games started. His talent was compared with John Abraham. He has had knee surgery when at SC I think and again in the pros. I don't know if Detroit killed his play or he was just plain substandard. He did admit to playing poorly and that he felt he was stealing his paycheck. He can have a great game then disappear. He had a seven sack season and gets a fair amount of forced fumbles. Last year was decent.

Is he available? I don't think his Oakland contract was guaranteed. He may breakout with a team like Dallas who can surround him with talent. I wouldn't mind him here is he was cheap. He's big and fast.

he was cut, so I assume he is, if we could get 4/5 sacks from him in a backup role, and he comes cheap, that would be money very well spent

this is the kind of move you make, spend a little money on a vet who hasn't quite lived up to expectations, sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't

Nice departure from the speculation about old, "big name" players jerra is so enamored with.

I kinda agree, at least bring him in for a workout, maybe playing under Phillips could help...

After reading the link the only guy I'm interested in is Ronald Curry. Once again we have too many Wr's who do the same thing.

I visited L.A. one time. The sky was really blue and heat was dry. They drive really fast. lol.

If you experienced people driving fast in l.a. it was probably 3 am. You can't go over 15 on any highway during sunlight hours.
