Wouldn't that make Ginn faster than Meachem?

Don't get me wrong, I would much rather have Meachem. But the one thing that Ginn has going for him, even more than so than CJ and Meachem, is speed.
Meacham was upset at his time, saying he thinks he can run in the 4.2's and that he did that several times at the Speed School here in Tucson where he's been training.

Even if you want to say Ginn is still faster looking at the size differential is mind boggling. He outweighs him by 36 pounds.

Not bagging on Ginn. He is fast, but that size to speed ratio is more impressive.

are we saying Receivers we want or receivers that we want and think we could actually get?

also if Sidney Rice for some reason was there for us in the second round and we didn't go WR the first round I'd like that move too.

No, just the breakdown of how I see the receivers in this draft. BTW, I am in favor of trading out of the 1st into the very high second, if possible, and adding another 1st day pick or two. I'm would be very happy with a guy like Rice. There are even a couple of other WRs I really like. I think Jason Hill might end up being a heck of a WR. I think Gonzales could be a very good WR. I think a guy like Brandon Myles could be an exceptional pick for a team. Yamon Figures is spit on a skillet quick and he will impact a team immediatly on special teams. He's small at 5-11 175 but we're talking about a 3rd WR right now. A guy who can grow into the role of 1st WR. This kid might be that kind of guy. There is some talent at WR and it doesn't have to be a 1st round pick IMO.

If everyone wants spead what about Jason Hill? Doesn't he have the fastest 40 time as of right now? He would be a great pick in the 2nd round and Dallas would be allowed to go CB or OLBer in the first.

Oh that was a serious question as I've been saying WR's I liked that I thought we would be able to take, aslo I completely forgot about Gonzalez, I really liked him too. it was Maechem, Rice, and Gonzalez (in that order) as my favorites that I thought we could get somewhere in the draft.

Side Question, where is Gonzalez expected to go in the draft, I haven't seen anything about him.

Yeah uh... where did the 4.35 figure come from? Pretty sure Ginn didn't run at OSU's pro day either. Ginn should be a sub 4.3 guy when healthy. He can be a return guy this year and come in on certain formations if we get him in round 1 making an immediate impact, plus be there if an injury occurs.

Regardless if we go Ginn or Meachem at 22 I'm perfectly fine with that. If they're both gone by then I'd be ok with Bowe. If all 3 are off the board by 22 then I'd start looking at BPA from another position like CB.

Why does everybody keep saying OLB... currently we have 3 first rounders playing two OLB positions why do we need another one!?

hard to say for sure but right now, Gonzales is ranked somewhere around 45 to 55. That would put him in the second round, possibly slipping to the 3rd. It's a crap shoot.

I got that number from FoxSports, blame them. I thought he was slower actually.

Mmm, interesting I wouldn't mind taking him at our pick in the second round.

I don't think anybody is suggesting that we take him in the first round (or at least I sure as hell hope they're not). He's more of a 2nd/3rd round option if we don't decide to go WR with our 1st round pick.

I don't know that I agree with this. He wont go in the 1st round but I think he has 1st round type talent. He's 6 feet +, he's 205 and he runs a 4.32. He needs to get bigger and he needs to work on some things but he has what you need in the way of natural talent. You can't go off this years production with this player. He was injured a good part of this year. If he has problems, it's staying focused on the little things. Don't just run the routes. Be a pro. All young WRs have these kinds of issues IMO. I think this kid might be a guy who ends up being a #1 WR for a team. He has the natural ability, just needs to work on the other stuff IMO.

Interesting since Robert Meacham was bigger and faster.

However, in pads Ginn cannot be caught. He has that football speed HOS!

You do not pick a return guy in the 1st round. And Don't point out Devin Hester... he is a freakish anomaly and outside of his return game he is completely unproductive.

As far as the comparison between Ginn and Meacham, the thing no one is discussing is the fact that Meacham has superglue for hands. That with his speed and size would make us stupid to pass on him if he is available. :D

Are you trying to call Ginn an exclusive returner? Come on now.......
