If he is so fast then why didnt he run away from the 250 pounders from jumping on his back after he returned the opening kickoff against Florida :laugh2:

I will be happy with Ginn/Jarrett/Meachem/or Bowe tbh. My preference is Jarrett.

I will say it again... You can think he's a bad receiver...runs bad routes...isn't tough over the middle...Whatever.

But to say he isn't one of the fastest guys avaliable...is ridiculous.

If everyone wants spead what about Jason Hill? Doesn't he have the fastest 40 time as of right now? He would be a great pick in the 2nd round and Dallas would be allowed to go CB or OLBer in the first.

Jason Hill didn't play that fast

Meacham was upset at his time, saying he thinks he can run in the 4.2's and that he did that several times at the Speed School here in Tucson where he's been training.

Even if you want to say Ginn is still faster looking at the size differential is mind boggling. He outweighs him by 36 pounds.

Not bagging on Ginn. He is fast, but that size to speed ratio is more impressive.

:hammer:I don't think Ginn is much faster than Yamon Figurs, who weighs only 2lbs less

He's small at 5-11 175 but we're talking about a 3rd WR right now.

so how come everyone is talking about Ginn as a #1 WR when he weighs only 3lbs more? is it because Figurs isn't polished? Ginn isn't either

Ginn or Jarrett would be fine with me, but if it comes down to them two I have to say Jarrett, why?, cause he's bigger 220, taller 6-5, and knows how to get to that ball consistently.

But if Ginn there I know I have a good kick returner, probably Hester like, I know I'll have a deep threat for a wide receiver because of his speed, and we have somebody that know how to turn small plays into big plays.

I think that if Ginn is healthy, he's even faster then Figurs. I also think that Ginn has proven it against top competition where as Figures played for KState and only caught 28 balls last year. Figurs is even more raw then Ginn is. He needs to really work on his routes and his technique. He drops too many balls to be an effective 1 or 2 at this point. He definatly has the physical capability but he is not a guy who you can plug in and depend on at WR right now. He could help immediatly on ST but he has to be developed. Ginn, on the other hand, can come in and challenge for the number 3 right now IMO. Ginn needs to work on things too but I just believe that he is further along then is a guy like Figurs at this point.

Speed, speed and speed....but who can catch the rock better and adjust to poorly thrown balls? That's the guy I want. You can run like the wind but if you can't catch....so what....remember Alexander Wright??? World class speed with no hands and no route running ability. Didn't we draft him in the 2nd? Another JJ failed pick?

The WR must have HANDS! then speed and route running ability.

I wouldn't consider Wright a failure. I don't think he was what we wanted him to be but as a ST player, he was pretty good. The problem is that we took him with the 1st pick in the 2nd round. Had he been a 4th or 5th round pick, that would have been much better. JMO.

Ginn...immediate impact.

But after 10 years of no offensive 1rst rounders, I'm ready to take any of them.
