Ginn, Jr. just does not strike me as a BP kind of player. If he wants to trade him, would you give up one of 1st rounders for him? I don't see anyone w/ Ginn's speed in this draft. I'd trade our 1st for him straight up. Thoughts?

Ginn hasn't impressed me, I'd rather take a shot in drafting someone.

Ginn hasn't impressed me. I'd rather sign Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr if Oakland lets him go by chance. They have seriously mis-used him. Garrett can make a lot with his abilities!

we'd be stupid to trade the same round pick Ginn was taken w/ to Miami for him

you rarely, if ever, see players traded for the same pick that they were taken w/, esp. a year or 2 after their rookie years

Great speed doesn't make a great receiver. He doesn't have the strength or ball skills necessary to be a number 1 receiver at this stage of his career and may never. I'd say right now he's worth a 3 or a high number 2 as trade bait.

good thing Ron Wolf didnt follow that philosphy when they gave a no 1 pick to Atlanta for a 2nd rnd pick the year before. Somebody named Favre. Pretty good move.

BP likes good return guys. Ginn will be first up for all return duties, and try to prove himself worth of being called "she".

I don't think he was a first rounder material out of college and he hasn't impress me at all so I wouldn't give up a first round pick for him.

It simply isn't economically feasible to trade a player after his rookie season when they're a first round pick, especially a top 10 pick. It would accelerate around 10-12 million onto the cap IIRC.

Farve looked good today. Almost as good as he does when he plays in Dallas.

Hey Bill Parcells,
I'll trade you Bobby Carpenter for Ted Ginn. Or how about Carpenter, Spears, and one 1st rd pick for McFadden?

I thought the Ginn talk ended after the draft, silly me:banghead:

I was a big Ginn supporter. But after the draft, that ended it for me.

1 example, great job disproving the theory

Haha. I love the one-in-a-million examples that are supposed to exemplify the norm but do nothing but exemplify just how rare something is.

LOL, I wasn't trying to disprove anything. I was just saying I was glad Wolf didnt follow that same philosophy.
