no thanks, i can think of alot of other WR who might be worth a #1 pick, but Ginn doesnt come close to making the list.
What WR would you take IF our pick was the 30th or 31st overall?

Ginn has been one of the few bright spots for Miami this season. He's shown some dynamic ability on returns (a few TDs have been called back due to meaningless holding calls) and his big play ability is undeniable. With Marty Booker being a huge pile of crap, teams have been focusing on Ginn. But with some sharp route running and great quickness, he's still getting open.

If Ted Ginn isn't a Parcells type player, then neither is Terry Glenn.

FWIW, though - his rooke deal was a 5 year, 13 million dollar deal. So the cap hit to trade him wouldn't be outrageous - at most it would seem 6-7 mil in a possible accelerated bonus hit. But still, there's no way they trade Ginn.

As much as I enjoyed watching Ginn play at OSU, in the previous draft if it were a choice between Ginn and Anthony Gonzalez(who's a Colt now), I'd have drafted Gonzo everytime and twice on Sunday. The one thing about Ginn is you'd hope he's still learning the position considering he originally came to OSU as a WR/CB. He may still have some upside.

That being said, I might do it for the second round pick.

You're incorrect about the amount of his deal. The 13.5 million reported was the amount of guaranteed money. The total deal's worth more but the 13.5 is the important number. I didn't look how the contract was structured but I'd highly doubt it was frontloaded into his rookie season so I'd guess he'd count at least 11 million against next year's cap if traded.

No team's going to take that type of cap hit.

Ok, so strike that deal then, no way I'd do that..... :(

1. You cannot judge any WR or TE by his performance this year in Miami with no QB on board.

or any rookie WR for that matter

although it's a good bet that it may take Ginn longer than the requisite 2/3 years to show his true worth

Ginn hasn't impressed me. I'd rather sign Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr if Oakland lets him go by chance. They have seriously mis-used him. Garrett can make a lot with his abilities!

You rather have Higgin's over Ginn? No way bro. I have not been impressed by ginn's play but who in the dolphins has played good this year??
