Really?? One of those Free could have ran back. It was like everyone ran to the sidelines except for Crayton.

It must have been because he was farting from all the tacos he ate on the sidelines 10 minutes earlier.

If Crayton is such a great returner, than why is DeCamillis trying Ogletree out there?

Oh, I don't know... but... could it be that they were trying to get a player they think could contribute on the field any way they could ?

...... naaa.. it was because Craytong sucks.. that's a much better explanation..

The former top ten pick lol.

I known, i actually wanted him back then if he "fell" to us.

Goes to show how pointless it is to slober over these draft picks.

Ginn stinks and would take up a roster spot normally saved for someone who does not stink as much as Ginn.

Ginn's no better than Crayton. There's probably 10 WR in this draft I'd rather have than him

I can't lie... Adding Ginn to the stable would have filled both the kickoff and punt return void.

Yes, but that's about it. And in order to keep him, the Cowboys would have had to cut either Ogletree or Hurd. Ogletree is out of the question at this point because of his potential, so that would leave Hurd out, who's a hell of alot better special team player than Ginn AND has better hands.

Kickoff and punt returns are two different skillsets. Kick returners basically run straight ahead as fast as they can into the designated wedge and hope an ally appears. Ginn is very good at that.

Punt returns have to juke around and make defenders miss them in the open field. Ginn isn't so good at that. He had a 5.6 punt return average last year.

As far as a WR, I think I saw where Ginn had the 3rd worst drop percentage of any NFL wide receiver last year. I doubt the 49ers will even use him on offense.

No they wouldn't.

Buehler is going to handle all kicking duties.............hopefully.

Open spot right there.

Ted Ginn did have 790 receiving yards in his second year, Patrick Crayton has never had that much in any season.

I don't think Ginn should be completely written off as a receiver.

ESPN is reporting it was for a 5th round pick.

Ah well.

Cowboys didn't have a 5th rounder and I wouldn't have given up a 4th rounder to get him.

Crayton had two td returns last yr and almost nobody in this forum gives him credit for it, why should it be any different with Ted Ginn? I know the answer by the way.

Ginn's a total waste of roster space and has no ability to play a useful role in a teams offense.

Parcells, Ireland and Sparano are laughing their butts off over this.

yea, i get tired of the crayton attack club. he's a #3 WR who can stop gap into #2 if needed. he's a great player for his position and not as easy to replace as people seem to think.

but once people get their craw into "trade bait" they're traded at every opportunity.

Miles, RW, Crayton, Ogletree, Hurd. That's 5 receivers. Even in today's NFL, that's the right amount to keep. In the old days, the limit was usually 4.

If you're going to keep that 6th WR , he better be the best special team player in your team by far, something that Ginn isn't, because he'll be taking the spot of either a back up LB or back up DB.

LBs ( 3-4 ) and DBs ( Hamlin cut ) are more of a priority, roster spot wise, than a 6th receiver who's only speciality is returning kickoffs.

Ted Ginn, unlike Patrick Crayton, was annoited the #1 receiver the minute he was drafted and treated as such.

Then the Dullphins realized the mistake they made.

That regime wouldve never drafted him in the 1st place.
