Seriously?? You gotta link?

Sorry, Link Police. No, I don't have a link. And, no, I am not going to look for one for you. If you are that interested, start with Google and see if you can find something. I read it in a newspaper or heard it on the news.

But, don't look for it tonight because there is a Cowboy game on.:)

Well can you blame him? That's pretty crazy sounding.

Kind of an unnecessarily smart ellic response. Sounded like he was genuinely curious about it, but whatever.

Fine... I call bull**** then.

I heard a rumor that they're teaching safe sex to toddlers. Don't believe me? I don't care.

Hyperbole amidst criticism of the proposal may have caused the idea that condoms would be a part of it, but the claim of introducing sex-ed to kindergarteners isn't bogus...

That is just hyperbole added to hyperbole. "Keyes based his assertion on his extremist interpretation of sex ed legislation Obama supported in the state Senate." No one was proposing sex-ed for kindergarteners.

I was part of a pilot program for a similar protocol. They teach very young children that it's okay to talk to the school counselor if someone touches them in a way that makes them uncomfortable. There's no condoms on bananas for kindergarteners.

This is probably the best info I've heard on the matter. Teaching personal safety isn't the same as teaching the birds and the bees. That is to say, this is common sense stuff, not sex-ed.

Good. Now I can talk my wife in from the ledge. The thought of our kindergartner son participating in that made her

Not really. It's a broader topic of discussion for a reason, based on the proposal and all the word-play surrounding it doesn't change it from what it is: Sex-Ed for kindergarteners.

It's not explicit or condoms on banana's, but it's introducing the subject to kindergarteners. Why else would it have an 'opt-out' provision?

The opt-out provision is to satisfy those extremist parents who believe this is a form of Sex-Ed. Teaching a child to report abuse isn't the same as teaching a child the who/what/when/where/why of sex. It it teaching children how to cross a street, not drive a car.
