Give Carpenter a little credit today

As for Bobby, to me his most impressive play was on Newman's forced fumble because he latched on to the lineman physically instead of being a Wuss like he usually is in the run game.

I noticed that too.

He actually shoved the OL back, into the hole and the RB, which took away the RB's momemtum so Newman could get a good shot on him.

That was a big play as well.

Bobby is playing pretty good for us and that is good news because we are going to need him to play good as the season wear on.

It is good to see Carp actually making some contributions finally. I was stunned on the play where he shot through the gap for the sack and then saw it was him. Hopefully he can keep it going.

I admit when I 1st saw Carpenter make the sack I was thinking it was Brooking on the play. Way to go Carpenter now keep it going.

Carp had a great game by his standards. He looked 'active'.

I hope he can continue it.

It's too late for him to escape bust status but at this point I'd take a healthy, solid back up the rest of this year.

Noticed they played him some with Brooking, taking Bradie James out for a breather.

No doubt Brooking's traits are rubbing off on little Bobby. Whatever it takes to get this perennial #17 drafted lifetime special teamer contributing in a greater capacity...

Give him credit for actually making a play for the first time since his rookie season?

Alright. Good play Barbie.

Now do it again.

Is the Light Bulb coming on?
The key to that play was that he timed it just right. He didn't bull past Spencer. He slid through the line practically untouched against a center who has issues blocking that kind of blitz. It would have been more impressive if he fought off a quality block to make the play. But I guess we have to take plays when we can get them from this player.

Carpenter is playing better as a nickel linebacker right now than Burnett ever did in Dallas. He's getting a much deeper drop into his zone responsibilities.

It's a shame he's everyone's favorite whipping boy because he's really stepped into his role.

ANYONE could have made that sack. carpenter just happened to be the guy there. he is still horrible.

Just can't give credit where credit is due? Even for ONE great play?

Bobby Carpenter on the official post game show.
