even the haters have to admit that Roy has been huge in our run game.. he is our team leader in tackles and I really think he is a big reason why we are so stout against the run.. the man gets loads and loads of crap for his coverage, so man up and give him props for his defense against the run..

I loved that shot he put on Grant, that was the Roy of his first two years in the league!

I saw one play where he made a good hit (first one in a couple of years) and then I saw the RB run right by him for a td.

:bang2:

You take him for granted until you see Hamlin miss a tackle that springs a 60 yard TD run by Grant.

You mean you saw Hamlin take his legs out?

Come on, where in NJ are you :p

We can thank Hamlin for that. He made a weak attempt at grabbing Grant's ankles and then proceeded to knock Roy out of the play.

$11 million dollars for a guy who only performs half of his job requirements.

Seems fair.

rofl... please watch other games this weekend and let me know how all the other SS are doing.

He performs half of his duties better than probably everyone except 1-2 people in the league. Those tackles are as good as turnovers often times, when he shuts somebody down a yard short on a pass or a run.

And the other half is C quality, not F. So, an A+ and a C = 11 mil, yes

How many catches did he allow tonight?

Love that logic.

All the others stink too, but our only stinks a little.

I like how they are using him now....he is getting more comfortable....and coming out in selected packages seems to have him more focused.

Don't bring facts and reality into this argument. :laugh1:

Off the top off my head, I know he had coverage on Lee when Rodgers broke out of the pocket, then as he is so apt to do, he became completely befuddled as the ball was coming his way, allowing a fairly long pass.

That said, on the pass that Ware knocked down, Roy did have good coverage.

So you are admitting you never watch another SS?

Yup, I never watch football. In fact, I just stumbled into this forum.

Give me a break. He's above average in run support, but he's a freaking liability in coverage - as always.

Let's see on defense you defend the run and the pass, so as I said, he performs half of job requirements.
