No that is the truth. Blocked easily and often and difficulty getting off blocks. Random average play. The truth is the opposite.
Dude balled today. He was around a lot of plays.
He's a solid part and core of this defense
So is the bench when players run into it.He is a thumper. Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you missed the play with LVE covering the RB on a go route...His sideline to sideline speed is subpar. He's the main reason why team' are able to run so well on the edge on us.
Did you see that Jaylon started for NYG last week? He’s hit and miss but moves awfully slow at the snap.
Way better than Jaylon though. That’s not saying much
Played well too….although around here it doesn’t seem to matter. Many value old narratives over what’s actually happening on the field.Did you see that Jaylon started for NYG last week?
Actually much of the difference between 2018 rookie LVE and 2022 is the scheme and his role in it.Injuries are an unfortunite part of the game.
He has never been the same since the neck injury.
And had a decent showing.Did you see that Jaylon started for NYG last week?

Thanks Coach X !Actually much of the difference between 2018 rookie LVE and 2022 is the scheme and his role in it.
Quinn has him playing as a stack & shed LB instead of an attack run & hit LB. Stack & shed is similar to a DL playing 2-gap.
LVE's job is to take on the OLineman that is blocking on the 2nd level. If you watch all of his snaps you'll see plays where he seeks out the 2nd level OLineman. He keeps that blocker from blocking other defenders. The RB is forced to cut to one side or the other of the OL that is blocking LVE. As part of the scheme the other defenders key off of that block because they know it will force the decision by the RB.
The intention is for other defenders to make the play before the RB gets to LVE's level but those defenders don't have rigid gaps assignments because of LVE basically 2-gapping. It's a big part of freeing up players like Parsons and SS Wilson to make plays.
Belichick used similar concepts with big (265 pound) MLB Dont'a Hightower in the last 3 Patriots Super Bowl winning seasons.
If LVE had played the stack & shed role in 2018, the Cowboys likely would have won the playoff game vs the Rams. The Rams run blocking scheme was designed around boxing out LBs right/left. Stack & shed screws up that concept. That's why the Rams super run game in the 2018 season hit a big roadblock vs the Pats in the Super Bowl.

No its apparent that the addition of Barr and the Surprise of LVE allows Parsons to play more DE and is keeping Cox on the bench. i mean also the way DQ used Kearse and Wilson also has hurt Cox..he will one day get his shot but much like KJ, the guys in front of them are playing at high level. lety them develop slow no rush at this point. he not a bust until the day hes called upon to start and can't do it.Is Jabril Cox the new Matt Johnson. Highly anticipated rookie that never plays meaningful snaps because of health and slow development?
