We have some interesting prospects from the draft and free agency to add to camp. Who do you think make the final roster DL and DE?

DE: Lawrence, Mincey, Selvie, Gardner, (PUP) Spencer
1T: McClain, Bishop, Coleman
3T: Melton, Crawford, Okoye

No love for Hayden? I know he sucked last year, but the dude was straight worn out, just like Ware. I think he will beat out McClain.

I don't mind Hayden but if Coleman and Bishop are on par with him thru TC and the pre-season games then IMO i'd roll with the young guys. I kept Okoye over Bass because I'm sure Bass will be hurt at TC before the season starts.

Here's my defensive line depth chart. I think they'll want to start Crawford at left defensive end and move him inside in the nickle and to back up Melton. It was between Nick Hayden and Ben Bass for me on who I want to make the team, but I ultimately felt like Bass offered more pass rush potential. Though we'll have to see who makes it out of camp this year since with Ben Bass's injury history; knock on wood!

RE: D. Lawrence, G. Selvie, A. Spencer(PUP)
1-Tech: T. McClain, B. Bass, K. Bishop
3-Tech: H. Melton, T. Crawford, D. Coleman
LE: T.Crawford, J. Mincey, B. Gardner

If these lower round/ undrafted rookies pan out I can see the "waves" approach that R. Marinelli is talking about this season. Excited to see them perform!

It would be prudent to remember Bass when thinking of 2014.

Training Camp and Pre-Season can't get here soon enough.

I swaer to Gosh, T.O., Jerry Ricecake and Deon Sandacstle ect...and 50 sum odd other Vets included with Frindge players rooks and street could make a lot of money between the Pre-Season and Super Bowl.

DE- Lawrence, Selvie, Spencer, Mincey, Crawford
DT- Melton, McClain, Okoye, Bishop, Bass

I doubt if they keep 11 DL. Most 4-3 teams keep 8 or 9. I see 10 max.

An early guess...

DE: Lawrence, Crawford, Gardner, Selvie, Mincey (Spencer on PUP)
DT: Melton, Okoye, McClain, Bishop, Coleman

I'm thinking 10 based on the experience of last season.

I think you'll see that McClain is better than Hayden. He may even be the starter.
Hayden may still make the team though.

That group all of a sudden doesn't look terrible.
Seeing you already dropped Hayden, are not even including Okoye, and still need to drop at least one more, it's showing roster improvement.

SDE
George Selvie, Ben Gardner

3tech
Henry Melton, Amobi Okoye, Ben Bass

1tech
Tyrone Crawford, Terrell McClain, Ken Bishop

WDE
Demarcus Lawrence, Jeremy Mincey

I listened to an interview with Marinelli. He said Crawford would be either a SDE or 3-tech. Bass is bigger than Crawford. He might be an option at the 1.

I think Davon Coleman will make a strong push for a spot.

DE- Lawrence, Selvie, Mincey, Gardner, Wilson (until/if Spencer comes off PUP)

DT- Melton, McClain, Bass, Bishop

DE/DT- Crawford

He said he looks like he could be there, never said anything so absolute. But If Crawford can handle it they would move him to the 1tech and start him if hes the best player. It would be stupid to keep him on the bench if he outplays a guy like McClain.

Marineilli says SDE or 3-tech.

Broaddus says 1-tech.

Yeah, I can't see Crawford as a #1.

There are at least a couple guys on the roster who I think can do a better job at the #1.

Crawford did very good as the SDE in the 3-4. those guys are typically the kind of guys who play the 1tech in a 4-3 defense. I just dont see how you can keep crawford off the field if he';s the best DT behind melton.
