How exactly does Mike lack IQ?

You guys can't seriously consider the Cowboys a top 5 team! (right now) They are 1-2 with losses against the Commanders and CHICAGO which we knew was an awful team. The defense has been pretty solid but tends to be hit and miss up until the redzone where they stiffen up. The offense can still put up the great numbers but still struggle so far scoring. They aren't consistently getting it done yet so there's no way to fairly judge teams like the Saints, Chargers or especially Green Bay with negativity when Dallas is worse.
Dallas can put it together but so can some of these other teams. For me Dallas is still in the middle until t hey play better. Not necessarily 'win' but play consistently good football which they haven't. We know they CAN but they may not be there yet.

I will stick with my week 1 picks with a couple of order changes and 1 drop (Texans for Colts)

-Packers are a very good team and it sucks to play them at Lambeau again. [from 3 to 1]
-The Saints have been consistently good so still up there at number one.[from 1 to 2]
-The Chargers dominated their game but had critical mistakes in a very hostile environment. I think 9 out of 10 times that game goes the other way plus they are missing 2 very key players so number two. [from 2 to 3]
-The Ravens look to be a very good team, unfortunately.
-The Patriots have a proven formula that works and Brady looks sharp.
-I would say maybe Texans, they have a very good defense and it will get better when roidrage returns but in a matchup the Giants beat them the majority of the time. Hard to say because they could slip, who knows? [I think now this spot goes to the Colts even though they lost to their cryptonite... The Texans are still a playoff team I think and who knows how good the Giants are come December]

I just think by year's end they will be better. My top 5 is based on who I think will be there at year's end. Hence why Pittsburgh and the Jets and Chargers and Vikings are not there.

So why have a weekly top 5? Should be only ONE top 5 that would reflect how the season will end. If win/losses mean nothing then why would it change next week?

Because I enjoy the banter and commentary from fellow fans and things could change due to an injury, or other unforeseen circumstances. It really isn't a poll. It's a ranking based on opinions.

Things change. You see a team and your impression changes of them. Not necessarily in one weekend, but over the course of several weeks. Plus, players get hurt. Romo gets hurt and Dallas might be in the bottom 5. Manning gets hurt and the Colts don't sniff the top 5. Same for a lot of teams.

I hate his Dad, but Rex has won me over.

What I don't understand is how it took him this long to get a HC job.

He had been one of the best coordinators in the league for nearly 10 years.

The Jets are hands down my 2nd fav this year. It sucks though Shonn Greene has taken a backseat to LT haha.

Not for my fantasy team, it doesn't.
Want to see the forum freak out? I would love to have Rex as the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Nothing against Wade, but when he's ready to hang it up, bring in Rex.

My picks are based on performance so far, not talent. I think we're one of the most talented teams in the league, but I can't put us in the Top 5 with a 1-2 record. I don't think the 49ers or Raiders have bottom five talent, but they're playing like crap. Even at 0-4, I think the Lions have played better than the bottom five teams.

1) Ravens
2) Jets
3) Packers
4) Falcons
5) Pittsburgh

28) Cleveland
29) Raiders
30) 49ers
31) Carolina
32) Bills
