I respect Jerry for his innate abilities to function, as he does, to be a business success!

What haunts me to no end, is his insistence to serve in the capacity as this team's GM.

If he'd just agree to surrender his self-indulgence as a GM, maybe I'd almost like him?

Congratulations! Your post is the very first that directly addresses the point of this thread. You made an important distinction between Jerry the owner and Jerry the GM. In hindsight, I wish I had done the same.

Such a shame the rest of you basically brought your own baggage to this thread.

They had a built in fanbase that was waiting for the team to turn around. It wasn't like we were the saints.

Remember the Saints fans with bags on their heads for years? The closest we became to becoming the Saints was when Jerry installed Dave Campo as head coach.

Us fans are in an abusive relationship with the team

"Us"?! Not at this end. Sure I love football & the Dallas Cowboys. But they don't rule my life nor do I pay attention to what the FO does or how much a player gets paid. It's entertainment.

Why get all upset about something you have no control over. Too many in this forum fit that clause to a T & look absolutely ridiculous. Could care less what anyone's opinion is. They're never going to change my opinion/mind.
