I think a lot of Cowboys fans underrate Dak. And I understand why. But he had a really good year this year. He kept the bad games to a minimum and did some really good things. His 36 to 9 TD to INT ratio is phenomenal. And let's face it, his offensive line has not been that great this year.

But at the same time, I am not going to let that drubbing of the Commanders cloud my judgement. The Commanders were playing some scrubs on defense, and they are a terrible team, on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys made mistakes yesterday that against good teams would have hurt them badly. It's great they did not repeat what they did last year, but I think the defense needs to be better against the teams they will be facing in the playoffs.
Very well said!

Again, he's fine this before.

He looked horrible against San Fran and Buffalo and very average against Miami and Detroit. Those are the only teams we played that have a chance in the postseason.
every QB has bad games, Purdy looked like crap in some game, Hurts continue to look like trash. Mahomes had played poorly in several games and of course Josh Allen the turnover machine.

But they've played well against the top teams before in big games. Dak never has.

He has to change that this year.

That is pure BS Dak has beaten top teams. I agree Dallas need to go out and win since ultimately wins and loses are team not individual. I expect Dak to go out and do his job. I would be great to have Cowboy nation backing him but that seems to be too much to ask. Agenda mean more that anything to these fools

Det
. but also played good vs Maimi again this is a team sport not an individual. Dak has played well to great but that does not ensure wins since it is the team that actually wins or loses games

It’s no secret in no big fan of Dak, but I will admit that yesterday he played a great game, and I think it’s one of his best. Not stat wise, but in delivering when it mattered. His touch seemed better ever, and I liked him looking off his receivers and confusing the secondary. That’s the guy I want to see play.

Good to see the team elevated going into a home advantage scenario. Now he needs to keep that momentum going because that’s where he’s fallen short in the past.

Spotlight is on, let’s see what he does post season.
You’ve trashed him hard in the past. You think you can just slime your way back on the Dak’s good train? Get real.

Takes a big man to do what you did, yesteray is over, time to get ready for the GB packers, see what he does then! If he wins you'll continue to be a fan, if we don't win, we know there won't be a post like this from you!!
No it doesn’t. He was ruthless against Dak in the past and will be in the future. Mark my words.

Chances are the Cowboys beat the Lions then lose to the 49ers. It will be hailed as progress and a great success, extensions all round. When the reality would be the Cowboys will have failed for the third successive season with a Superbowl calibre roster.
The reality is that with the exception of one team - all the rest with a Super Bowl caliber roster will have failed. Teams with non-Super Bowl caliber rosters rarely make the playoffs - unless they play in the NFC South.

Dak has had these games before. It’s the games against the 49ers, Cardinals, Bills, even Miami that are concerning. When the D isn’t stopping the run or there needs to be a reliance on him to do more than he really hasn't shown than he can overcome (at least in the past in a different system). It also takes a bit more something to overcome those kinds of situations in the playoffs with better competition which is still an open question from a confidence point of view.

Dak didn't look good in the second and third quarters against Detroit, and he should have been sacked on the long TD of the guy didn't whiff for some weird reason.

That will be a battle. The Lions aren't intimidated at all to come here again.
How about giving Dak credit for avoiding the sack and the presence to do so?

No should have about it.

There are typically only 3-4 Superbowl calibre teams max once the play offs are off and running. So to fail three years on the spin would be quite an achievement.

This year there are four - the Ravens, Bills, 49ers and Cowboys. Rams have some nice strengths but they have too many holes to fill whilst the Lions are at the start of building their Superbowl roster - they could have one big performance in them but they aren't strong enough to beat three of the above four blue chip teams at this stage. The Browns have a lot of qualities but the Ravens will be too strong for them.

he was shackled for years with Garrett and then an inexperienced Moore, having brought Boise state offense to the NFL and having learned from run on first down 100% of the time Linehan.

I think MM was reluctant at first to just let the offense loose, but after SF game, he said heck with it. attacked downfield more, stopped with all the crossing patterns. allowed the offnese to be multi dimensional and team changed

If dak keeps playing this way, he's gonna win a lot of doubters over.

What we've seen from Dak, we've essentially seen from him many times before. Washington is garbage.

It starts in two weeks. After the bye week slaughter of the Packers, he gets another shot at Detroit and San Fran.

Those are the games that will define him still.
Oooh, how funny. YOU NEVER MOVED THE GOALPOSTS FOR YOUR BOY, ROMO, DURING HIS 10+ YEARS AS A STARTER, ESPECIALLY DURING THE PLAYOFFS.
