The legend of Dak has never been about regular season play.
He played well last year.
The legend of Dak - as with Romo and other Cowboys quarterbacks - will be made in the playoffs, in the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl.
Let's see what narrative he writes for himself this post season.

However, if we lose we know what type of posts and 50,000 threads from you will be like.
Depends what kind of loss it is. If they play a great game against the 49ers and lose via a last-second field goal, I think a lot of fans will cut him some slack. If they get spanked by the Packers, and several of the Pack's TD's are a direct result of Dak's mistakes, it will be a different story. I don't think that will happen. I'm just pointing out that every loss is not the same.

It might happen this year and next year.
Tell the guy that repetition is equal to practice. Bluntly, practice ... practice ... Practice! That continues when deployed to fight.

Dak didn't look good in the second and third quarters against Detroit, and he should have been sacked on the long TD of the guy didn't whiff for some weird reason.

That will be a battle. The Lions aren't intimidated at all to come here again.
Look again...

I think a lot of Cowboys fans underrate Dak. And I understand why. But he had a really good year this year. He kept the bad games to a minimum and did some really good things. His 36 to 9 TD to INT ratio is phenomenal. And let's face it, his offensive line has not been that great this year.

But at the same time, I am not going to let that drubbing of the Commanders cloud my judgement. The Commanders were playing some scrubs on defense, and they are a terrible team, on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys made mistakes yesterday that against good teams would have hurt them badly. It's great they did not repeat what they did last year, but I think the defense needs to be better against the teams they will be facing in the playoffs.
One huge factor not mentioned enough is he has not had a reliable run game this year.

It used to be said Zeke earned Daks contract. Now days Dak has to do it without running support, often.

It’s no secret in no big fan of Dak, but I will admit that yesterday he played a great game, and I think it’s one of his best. Not stat wise, but in delivering when it mattered. His touch seemed better ever, and I liked him looking off his receivers and confusing the secondary. That’s the guy I want to see play.

Good to see the team elevated going into a home advantage scenario. Now he needs to keep that momentum going because that’s where he’s fallen short in the past.

Spotlight is on, let’s see what he does post season.
Dont be fooled by the Commanders performance. The Cowboys basically lost 3 out of the last 4 games. Refs got them the Detroit game. Teams like Detroit and Miami are good teams but not great and those are games the Cowboys need to put their foot on the gas and get a lead because anything can happen. The Cowboys get a lead and start fooling around going 3 and out. No sense of urgency until they fall behind again. Look what Purdy and the 49ers do to other teams. With the Cowboys roster they should be smothering other teams.

Exactly! That LB threw his shoulder when all he had to do was wrap up and that's 2 points for Detroit and Dallas is punting. 9 point swing

Ok, mister brain, explain what happened against Buffalo and San Fran.

You know, the games that actually matter.
Well, first Id say all games actually matter, otherwise there wouldn't be the competition there often is at end of season in most divisions most years for seeding. But, I can see that point goes over your head.

What made those 2 games matter any more than the Rams, Detroit, Philly games?

Teams, groups ie Offense, OL, Defense, CBs etc will all play poorly at different times in the season for a myriad of reasons.

So to highlight 2 games and to further give those games more weight than they warrant as some sort of gotcha vs an objective view at the entire season as to how an individual player performed is akin to walking by an apple tree picking up a bruised apple and condemning the entire tree.

Look at our loss in Phily. Dak played very well, but because he cut a pylon 2 inches short or whatever he was ripped apart by the fanbase. While I agree with you some of our fans just need to place blame.

What Mike has done technically in one offseason with Mike is nothing short of amazing.
Big Mike tailored the offense to Dak's strengths and corrected some of his weaknesses such as proper footwork and quicker release of the football. Dak especially investing time and effort into his footwork has noticeably improved his passing ability. Dak spending significant time practicing with his key receivers during the offseason has significantly helped as well.

"It’s false, No way. Not this time. We created it. Not this time. No. Not this time. It’s totally made up. Pure fiction. It’s fiction. It’s fiction. We made it up. We made this one up. It’s a made-up tale. It’s a total fabrication. It never happened.”

Lose 3 in a row after facing the Cowboys. They really stuck their foot on the gas pedal there, didn't they?

The Cowboys get a lead and start fooling around going 3 and out
In your mind, do you think the Cowboys, 2 part question coming,..

A. Are the only playoff team to have 3 and outs in the course of a game? And

B. Actually actively intentionally have 3 and outs?

For fun these playoff teams all had more 3 and outs over the course of the entire season than Dallas.

Detroit
Philly
Pittsburgh
Rams
49ers
Kansas City

can we surmise that each of these teams also fooled around during those games?

My biggest concern with Dak is what's gonna happen with his new contract.
Something tells me he'll want the world in terms of money.
I don't think he do a team friendly contract and that's gonna effect our team for years.

Have you been on here after a loss, even a 1 point loss.

He played an atrociously awful team. Which is right up his alley.

So will you be rooting for him to succeed or to fail?
I want him to shine. Prove himself finally. We're about to unload the Brinks truck for him, so it would be nice to feel OK about that.

I've seen nothing in 8 years to suggest he will though.
