:lmao2:you'd be lucky to win 1 in a season. The slowest, most un-athletic group ever assembled LOL

You must be a teenager. In fact, you have to be.

Nope and nope.

I don't think we're drafting Dez Bryant even if he is there at #27. I think Jerry's smarter than that.

Good post, by the way.

I do...Randy Moss is still fresh in his mind. If RW flops another year, which he will, you have you're long term solution.

Hold on to your boot straps, because this is going to come as a surprise...

The NFL isn't a pick up game at the park, it's not all about having the most athletic guy.

I think that other WR we had (what was his name?) might be a little more fresh in Jerry's mind than a player he passed on 13 years ago.

While true, sci-fi fanboy and your sister is a true blue 10. If you have 22 guys who can't win their match-ups and come up small every game, even the power of the dark-side won't save you.

We've got a really good WRs coach with Sherman. If he can turn guys like Austin, Crayton, Hurd, and Ogletree into players imagine what he could do with a guy with talent. Outside of OL depth I think we need to remember what Romo friendly means. I'm not saying we draft Bryant, but at some point before we let Roy Williams leave next year - we need to get another young target for Romo. Hopefully one of the Desean Jackson/Percy Harvin variety that have special teams ability, and become a big play threat anytime the ball is in their hand.

Outside of Miles Austin we don't have that at the WR position. If he went down next year would you be comfortable with Roy, Crayton, Hurd, and Ogletree starting in a game in December?

Not saying Bryant is the answer, but hearing Jerry talk about Holley as a possible option is so laughable that I'm having to assume its a smoke screen. I hope he sees WR as important of a need as I do going into next year.

I hope paying Miles Austin is fresh on his mind more than anything.

If he's on the board when we pick we're going to take a LONG look at him. How could we not. This could potentially be a steal and we need another WR IMO. If we can get our hands on another good WR this offense could be unstoppable.

But he appears to be a Brandon Marshall on and off the field. Itd be a real tough decision b/c he could be a beast, but sounds like a chode

No, you wouldn't.

Yes, you can take 22 Roy Williams', but you'd be hard press to win one game against 22 Deion Sanders.

The difference between Dez Bryant and Randy Moss is that Dez Bryant is NOT Randy Moss. Just because he might be the " best " receiver in the draft, doesn't necessarily mean he's a future NFL anything.

Oh, and yes, there ARE different standards for different people. Someone like Sanders or Randy Moss can show up to a football interview in sweats and crooked cap because they ( and their opponents ) know that once the pads are on, there isn't anybody on the field that they cannot beat. It's what sets them apart from most everybody else.

Some other player ? Yes, they should show up in a coat in tie because it's an edge they can use to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. Sanders and/or Moss are miles ahead of it.

Not fair, but it's reality.

This is the stuff that sort of gets to me.

How do YOU know ? Exactly how do YOU know that Hurd or Ogletree or even Holley are not viable options ?

Who in this board, or in this entire planet ( 'cept MAYBE for the man himself, and that's a big " mabye " ) knew that Miles Austin was going to turn into a pro bowl player BEFORE the 4th game of the season ?

Just to give an example, before the KC game:

Miles Austin = 5 catches, 81 yards, 1 TD
Sam Hurd = 3 catches, 62 yards.

If Roy Williams doesn't get hurt against the Broncos, where is Miles Austin today ?

and by the way:

How many times did Jerrah mentioned Miles as being a key to the future before last year, only to be laughed at ?

Sam Hurd just needs to be given a chance. Jerry Jones has been loving some Sam Hurd for a few seasons now.

Everyone should not be hitting the "eject" button and panicking, but it happens anyway.
