Sam Hurd just needs to be given a chance. Jerry Jones has been loving some Sam Hurd for a few seasons now.

Everyone should not be hitting the "eject" button and panicking, but it happens anyway.

I think Sam is what he is.

That's probably the case, but we'll never know unless he's given at least a chance.

And Sam, by the way, has a knack for the big play. Not necessarily long Tds runs after catch, but key first downs, or key catch during a game. He sort of reminds me of a faster version of Patrick Crayton.

Sam was the #3 WR for the whole year in 2007 and accomplished very little.

In 2009, he got two big throws his way against Denver and failed to convert either of them. He also got some chances later in the year and had a couple of drops.

I think he's like that RB we used to have who was always great in TC and pre-season only to fizzle in the regular season. I think his name was Lavette and they used to call him "Mr. August".

It's not a matter of talent. Pacman was talented too, but his manner of dress was a reflection of his attitude. The same can be said for Irvin and Deion. Do you think that Irvin's legal mishaps would be tolerated in the NFL today? Do you think Jerry wants a Deion style "it's all about me" attitude

edit: Furthermore, in those pictures, Deion is posing for an album cover and Irvin is at some sort of red-carpet event. Neither of those are "professional" settings.

Pacman got into bar fights and spit on girls. Bryant is nothing like him.

Bryant was late to meetings his freshman year and talked to an agent.

Now he wore sweats and a baseball cap and hes the devil.

You people wouldn't know a truly bad person from a hole in the wall.

Hes a kid that grew up in a slum. He has no substance abuse nor violence history. He just happens to wear sweats and ballcaps. OH NOES.

Talk about out of touch.

I disagree. Yes, he was the 3rd WR because of T-Glenn's injury, but at the best he was a 6th option in the passing game behind T.O., Crayton, Witten, Barber and even Julius Jones. He still put over 300 yards on just 19 catches, an average of over 16 yards per catch, which goes back to what I was saying earlier.

In 2009, he got two big throws his way against Denver and failed to convert either of them. He also got some chances later in the year and had a couple of drops.

His 50+ yard catch against Denver was THE reason why the Cowboys were in position to win the game. I don't remember his name being called through the game, although it could be possible.

I think he's like that RB we used to have who was always great in TC and pre-season only to fizzle in the regular season. I think his name was Lavette and they used to call him "Mr. August".

#29 Robert Lavette, Georgia Tech.

Perhaps he's that, but we'll never really know until he gets a shot like Austin did. Believe it or not, hopefully it will never happen because that would mean one of the 3 WRs ahead of him was injured or simply sucked, but we can't just dismissed this guys out on a whim. Miles Austin could have been a JET today if half the board got their way last year, and for a 2nd round pick.

I never said that Bryant was like Pacman. I said that what you wear is a reflection of your personality, especially if you show up to a professional event looking like you don't take it seriously.

The issue isn't Bryant wearing sweatpants and a sideways hat to an interview, as far as I know he hasn't done that. The article says that's what Moss did. When Moss did it, it showed a lack of maturity. When Pacman showed up to a coat and tie team function in his ridiculous outfit, it showed he cared more about standing out than fitting in.

To this point, Bryant has shown a lot of immaturity and that's a worrisome thing. I never said he was a bad person though.

As soon as I saw PacMans suit I knew he was gonna fail. Not the fact he attempted murder or beat up strippers.

And Romo is always looking boss. W/ his starter hat and ripped t shirts.......

I dont know what all the hype is about. Golden Tate is going to be the better Pro anyway. Faster , smarter, and well schooled under Weiss.

That's Deion in the 90s, and Michael Irvin is more tacky than unprofessional. In fact, both of them were more tacky than unprofessional.

Even so, I think the article speaks of how he should look when he visits the Cowboys for an interview.

I doubt Deion wore a sleeve-less shirt or Irvin wore a red suit to their pre-draft interviews with teams.

Bryant wears sweats to a porting complex where he is going to be working out and now you make personal evaluations off of him based on that?

Olsen was better then Fasano and is proving it. Clausen will be better then Quinn, probably much better. Though Quinn really did not get much of a shot in the mess that is Cleveland. Actually since Bernie Kosar was there in the late 80's, Cleveland has not had good QB play in almost 20 years. No other team around has that kind of record for continuous lousy QB play- must be something in the water.

Olsen and Claussen have played in the NCAA. Quinn and Fasano the NFL

Olsen and Fasano play different positions.

Quinn threw for more yards, TDs and had fewer interceptions than Claussen at ND.

Playing in Weiss system has proven to be no real benefit in the pros. If anything it just means they have less of a ceiling.

Derek Anderson says hello.

I don't know how you keep misunderstanding this.

I'm not making any judgement on Bryant based on his clothes.

I'll say it again, when players show up to interviews or other professional settings dressed inappropriately, it reflects poorly on their maturity level. There are already concerns about Bryant's maturity, concerns that don't stem from his manner of dress. However, if Bryant shows up to his team interviews wearing sweats, then it will be further evidence of his immaturity.

Miles Austin wearing his hat off to the side is fine, that doesn't bug me. Romo wearing his hat backward is fine, that doesn't bug me. The difference is in the setting.

Again, you are missing the point.

Romo can wear his starter hat and ripped t-shirt all he wants, he can even wear the hat backward.

Any guesses why?

Hint: It has to do with the setting.

They have nothing to do with Tate. Besides, last time I checked Fasano has outperformed Bennett.
