Giving up if we lose to Panthers?

I actually liked the white, but would have preferred all silver.

Honestly, I don't think the Joneses care. They are making money and there is no new stadium to build, so there will be no changes because they love being in charge more than they love having a winner where someone else gets the credit. Last year's success was probably the worst thing that could have happened because they started believing they could have both.

I think they should have gone with the sea foam green from head to toe. If the league is going to come up with an idiotic uniform scheme to dupe diehards into buying a 4th jersey, they I say go with the ugliest color you can.

I said I wouldn't give up if we lost, but obviously with the way we lost and everything that happened, all of us optimists are singing a completely different tune today. I went from being in the camp of "you never tank", to being in the camp of hoping we do get the #1 pick...

Then again, what if Matt Cassel can go 5-0 to finish the season, with this defense....................... No, I'm kidding, the season is unfortunately over...

I am going to start putting my 2016 NFL draft spreadsheet together, knowing a top 5, or minimally a top 10 pick is coming (that's my answer after Tony's injury)

Most unenjoyable season I can remember. I've seen some terrible Cowboys teams, but I'm having trouble recalling a time when the coaching staff has been so inept in all phases of the game. 'Lackluster' is the best adjective to describe this staff and squad.

I'll root for the team to win every week from here on out like always, but a sober assessment means we are looking at anywhere from 3 (worst case) to 6 ( best case) wins.

Now I, selfishly, hope we finish third in division so I get to go down to London next year.

Wish there was a sure fire QB coming out of college. I recall the "Suck for Luck" chants that were coming from Indy when their season looked a lot like ours after Manning was gone. However, no sure thing out there, so hopefully Jerry won't be compelled to reach for a QB in the draft. Do think its time to get a replacement QB into camp next year.

PS. I think we win two more games. One against the Commanders and one somewhere else. Final record 5 and 11.

The Fat lady is already done with her first few lines.

But its hard as a fan to just give up. The East is horrible. we could just luck into the playoffs...

My complaint is we are asking Romo to go back to being the Romo that produced 8-8 seasons...

We get him gambling, early in the game, 2 pick 6 and another INT. Game over.

I am extremely disappointed with how the FO/Mgmt decided to handle this season. They made wrong decision after wrong decision. Just bad decisions, and sometimes puzzling decisions, on top of other bad decisions. And its lead to a 3-8 record.

Give up over the loss to the Panthers? It doesnt feel like giving up to me, becuase I didnt think we had a real shot anyway,,,,,, I am not "giving up"...I am accepting what this franchise is....

The Lions, Bears, Browns, Commanders, Raiders, Jags, Falcs, etc etc.....Thats what we are;

Who knows guys, the NFL is so crazy. And I actually like Cassel.... Maybe he runs the table and the GNATS lose 4. Eagles and Skins suck as bad as we do. I say that with all seriousness. ---

However, what does it matter? Were losing any playoff game anyway.

What his name? the kid out of LSU? RB? He could be our Gurley. We have an easy schedule next year, Romo stays healthy......maybe its next year!!....................:) right right, next year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,right; -- that new 3d dinosaur movie is supposed to be really good for the kids...

Well I am not giving up yet, I wish they would give moore a try, see what he can do.
Carolina is a very good team and they have real coaches so hard to beat them.

I agree. They should give Moore a shot. But it probably won't be until all playoff possibilities are 0%

I think it was more to do with the antiquated and predictable offensive scheme that everyone knows how to defend.

Couldn't agree more, I think most of us yell out what the play will be about 75% of the time. Dez in the slot once a game and it's a good gain. Escobar has shown to be a real threat in the few plays the actually gets a ball thrown his way. We all could go on and on...love Garrett the person, not so much as him as the coach.

Well, that was worst-case scenario, wasn't it?

I started with a thread about not being out of it if we lose to the Panthers and I end up with one about Romo's (and the Cowboys') season being over.

This has been a turkey of a season and now it's cooked. I can't root against my team to lose, but the best thing for the team probably would be if it goes 0-fer with the backups and ends up in position to draft Romo's replacement.

I will say in this game that we rarely see Romo get outsmarted by a defense the way that he was. Some of that was due to the rust, some of it was simply the defense having him fooled. Now, we've got to start seriously thinking about the future without him.
