Wonderful. They lose their left tackle and replace him with a young stud. I hate them.

I appreciate the stats and I didn't know that about him. Not a Buffalo fan. But if Andy Reid thinks he can play then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Philly has been kicking our *** so long I can't overlook Reid's ability to find and use talent.

His one great year I noticed he did not play many top rushers.

Jason Peters-T-Eagles Apr. 17 - 10:09 pm et

Eagles acquired LT Jason Peters from the Bills in exchange for the 28th overall pick, a 2009 fourth-round pick, and a 2010 late-round pick.
The trade was finalized when the Eagles locked up Peters for six years in a deal that the National Football Post reports could be worth up to $60 million with $24 million guaranteed. The Eagles did well to solidify their offensive line with a young All-Pro talent just as their decade-long tandem of Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan were declining and due to leave via free agency.

They are making a big mistake on this kid.

He's already plateaued after his one big year and now that he's getting a big fat contract he's going to continue to go downhill.

Who gives up a 1st rounder and that kind of contract for a guy that allowed 11 sacks in 13 games last season?

A team that knows it's now or never because there QB and head coach have little time left.

I think if we had beaten them in that final game both McNabb and Reid would be out of Philly right now.

He's going to get abused all year long.
Good luck Peters, guess who you play twice a year?
Giants D-line, and D. Ware.

Is Peters that bad? You usually don't trade away a young Pro Bowl LT . . . .
He was in the second year of a five year contract and wanted a re-do. He held out last year, probably to skip camp work, came in unprepared and sucked for a few games.

It was his guy that got Trent Edwards blindsided and knocked out for several games.

Fans would boo him at the intro's. A true me me guy.

I hope Ware welcomes him to the NFC East.

That is a ridiculous trade but I'm glad Philly is stupid enough to do it. Peters is a converted TE/special teamer. He was undrafted and the Bills cut him his first year and put him on the practice squad. HOW IN THE HELL DOES THAT AND ONE GOOD SEASON WARRENT A FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK????? Are the Beagles really that stupid? Hey if it works they're geniuses but that is really unbelievable to me.

Scout questions new Eagle PetersViews 12308 Comments 192 08:13 AM ET 04.18 Share Print It My T&R A league scout offered a less flattering portrayal of Jason Peters. "He has the tools, and there are times that he looks like a Pro Bowl tackle," the scout said. "I just don't see it all the time." Peters, 27, was not the most popular player in Buffalo last season after staging a holdout from the start of training camp until a day before the start of the season. He also did not participate in the team's mandatory off-season camp. The scout, who saw Peters play quite a bit last season, said the contract dispute and lengthy holdout affected his play. Peters allowed 11 1/2 sacks, more than any other left tackle in the NFL. He also missed the team's last two games with a knee injury. "I know early on he wasn't as sharp as he was the year before," the scout said. "It took a little while for him to get his legs back under him. I'm sure the contract had to be a distraction. I'm sure the Eagles are hoping a new contract will make him happy and productive again."

24 Million in guaranteed money ought to perk him up. We'll see, I'm in no hurry.
