I fully expect Paul McCartney or a Rolling Stone, maybe a Beach Boy to be dead in the next week or so. RIP Glenn.

They opened a new arena in a town near me about a year ago but I didn't go......wish I did. I actually looked on-line last week to see if they were touring and found nothing. I didn't know Frey was sick. This one's a shocker.

Yeah... They weren't on any tours... They turned down Kennedy awards due to Glenn being in a bad way... I believe last year.

He will be missed. I deal with RA as well and if anything good can come out of this it would be finding a cure for RA

Another kick in the gut...

This January is shaping up as quite the bummer... :(

15 years ago as I was passing through Arizona, I called my brother in Alabama. When he picked up the phone, the first thing he heard from me was: "Well, I'm a standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona". We still laugh about it 'til this day. :D

Noooooooo!!!!!! (He was my first crush. I will be devastated whenever that day comes.)

Lol nice.

Some of the coolest lyrics ever.

Well, I'm running down the road
tryin' to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind,

Four that wanna own me,
Two that wanna stone me,
One says she's a friend of mine

It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed
Ford slowin' down to take a look at me

Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is
gonna save me

That, IMO, is why the Eagles were such a great band. They were really great song writers. I really love their music.

Been listening Desperado for the last four days. Just keep it on a loop on my computer and in the car. . Great, Great, Song...

Sometimes we dont know how great something is until you lose the person that made it great. We just take it for granted. Thanks Glenn

Glen Frey's death still bothers me a week later. A lot of us grew up with the Eagles and their music told a story that many of us can relate to. Their songs have life and meaning. Frey and Henley were incredible song writers and that talent carried over to their solo careers. Maybe I'm old, but that's just not something we see much of in today's music. I may hear a catchy tune now and then but the lyrics usually seem to fall short.

If anyone gets a chance to see The History of the Eagles on TV (I saw it on Showtime), it's an absolute must if you're a fan of the band. It was over 3 hours long but I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Almost ever member of the band, both past and present, were interviewed and it may be the last detailed interview of Glenn Fry before his death.

They were all really talented musicians, as well. I have never been a big fan of theirs, but respect the heck out of them. Watching the documentary on Netflix.
