Jokes aside the Cowboys just took a flier on Lance. Why not trade a 4th round pick for a guy that was a top three pick?

If he hits, they either have a QB of the future or someone they can trade for a higher choice than they gave up.

If he fails, so what? File him under Josh Ball, Charles Tapper, or any other failed 4th rounder.
