Go get a Difference Maker on D

I thought Murray played better yesterday. The LB units as a whole looked much better without Sanborn.
Murray had a couple good plays but there was still a lot of really bad plays out of him. He flashes because he is still a really good athlete but just is out of position a ton, which causes many issues. Playing him along James, who is learning on the job is asking for a disaster.

no point.we need multiple guys all over on Defense, use FA and draft to bring in new talent.

LB and S

Getting Murray off the field and replacing him with just an average NFL LB would help tremendously.
Literally just had his best game and that's what we're talking about maybe he'll be better from here on in and yeah we need to replace the guy that just had his best game...lol

Virtually had his best game and it might be something do with finally a defensive coordinator is starting to figure it out a little bit that you need to change things to fit your roster versus the other way around and a lot of our players look a lot better yesterday maybe we don't need to go out and spend any big draft capital to get another player now if they'll take a 4th or 5th rounder for some of these guys we're talking about yeah but you do not use one of your high drop picks to fix a team that may not even make the playoffs we are not one player away and some of y'all keep talking about this in 17 different threads no you don't make a move until the Cowboys beat Denver but also look improved not much of the same the defense needs to look even better against the Broncos than they did yesterday that's a fact Don't go out making moves you know what they say,

putting lipstick on a pig.. Yeah just think about it they may have looked good in the second half of the Philadelphia game they look pretty good against the Jets they've had some moments yesterday was good but they need to show consistency and that adding a player would actually literally put you over the top and I'm not sure this team is there this is one game....

If you can do what you did to Washington's offense against Denver's offense on the road on grass then yeah maybe they should think about filling a hole..

But I'm with Jerry right now we have rebel overshown, diggs(yes Diggs in Man is a factor) ,Butler got players coming back that can help and other players who are now getting better and a defensive coordinator that can keep making small changes and maybe we become average and with this offense that's all we need to be.....

Davis is the attitude we need, but he’s a bit old. I like Philips.
Thing that worries me is Miami's defense is probably worse than ours or at least close to it and you want to get players off their bad defense? Or you want to get an old guy at 36 I mean what just to round out this year maybe but he has to be cheap if he said oh we're talking about a 5th rounder here you do what you did for Gilmore and Brandon Cooks you trade for a 5th rounder but I'm not giving up big draft assets for a 36 year old....

A couple vets that wouldn't cost much that could help

Arden Key - Edge - Tennessee
Strong in run support and can help some in the rush

Demario Davis - LB - New Orleans
Mentioned quite a bit, old but still a top run stopping LB.

Jordyn Brooks - LB - Miami
Just an average LB but better than what we have right now

Jamal Adams - LB/S - Raiders
I'd play him at LB where we could use a smart vet presence

Jeffery Simmons, we need another big guy. If we can get pressure up the middle or force a team to only pass then our pass rushers can pin their ears back. The raiders just got annihilated yesterday, id check to see if Crosby is available. Id call the Jets about Sauce and Quennin as well.
Simmons, Crosby, and Q would be great options. Just don't see how to get any of them without losing, at the minimum, a 1st rd pick. I'd rather watch the team at least one more week vs Den to see what is there first before jumping the gun. WAS does have a 23rd rated pass defense along w/zero wrs this week.
A few names to ponder,

DeMario Davis, LB Saints (I do think at 36, he likely prefers to go to an elite team who is locked for the playoffs)
Jaelen Phillps, Dolphins (Contract expires after this season. So new deal needs to be made)
Jermaine Johnson, Jets (Another one if you trade you need to extend)
I'm okay with these guys if it doesn't cost a lot to get them from a draft pick perspective. Davis would be good, but like you said, he does turn 37 early next year/this season.

This defense needs a DC, DT, DE, 2 LBs, 1 CB, 1 safety

Cant “go get that” in the middle of the season
Exactly. We mostly controlled a team with future UPS drivers for WRs and now people think we are one piece away. This defense is awful.
